It covers the fundamental principles, rights of data subjects, and responsibilities of organizations in ensuring data protection. Participants will learn about the scope of the law, key terms, and the data life cycle, as well as gain insights into punishable acts and compliance strategies. The course is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to manage personal data responsibly and avoid legal risks.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006 s. 2026, 01 May 2026 (Friday), has been declared a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of "Araw ng Paggawa" or Labor Day.

Employees reporting for work are entitled to receive 200% or twice their regular salary for eight hours of work. Employees who will work overtime during the holiday will get an additional 30% of their hourly rate. Meanwhile, employees who will work during a regular holiday that also falls on a rest day will get an additional 30% of their basic wage of 200%.

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) joins the nation in celebrating the 124th Labor Day, paying tribute to the critical role of Filipino workers in powering industries and communities nationwide. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting decent work, upholding labor standards, and fostering safe, inclusive, and productive workplaces.

ECOP remains committed to working with its partners in advancing social dialogue, strengthening employer-worker relations, and supporting policies that drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
