The Malabon City Government has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification after completing a three-day surveillance audit with zero nonconformities, meaning auditors found no instance of failure to meet applicable standards.
The first surveillance audit of the cityโs Quality Management System (QMS) was conducted by TรV Rheinland Philippines from Oct. 6 to 8. Led by Luisito Soriano, the audit team of external auditors and technical experts covered 45 departments, offices, and units across the cityโs six QMS sites: Malabon City Hall, the City of Malabon Anti-Drug Abuse Office, the City of Malabon Polytechnic Institute, the City of Malabon University, the Malabon City Library, and Ospital ng Malabon.
After the audit, the TรV Rheinland team affirmed the continued maintenance of the certification. It also noted positive observations and opportunities for improvement to further strengthen the QMS.
Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval credited the result to the combined effort of city departments and employees.
Sandoval said.

It is proof that our services are effective and felt by our kababayan. We will keep improving our processes to ensure that our service to every Malabueรฑo is orderly, efficient, and reliable.)
City Administrator Dr. Alexander T. Rosete stressed the importance of sustaining the QMS through consistent implementation of established standards and continuous improvement in all offices.
Rosete said.
(Translation: This recognition serves as an inspiration for us to keep improving our systems and processes in government. May it also inspire our fellow Malabueรฑos to keep striving and join in advancing more orderly, efficient, and quality service for our city.)
The Quality Management Office, led by Jeffrey Benesisto, coordinated and implemented the cityโs QMS, working with department heads, process owners, ISO focal persons, and employees throughout the audit.
The city first earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification in September 2025, after preparations to establish a QMS that promotes consistent service delivery, accountability, and continual improvement across its offices.
The result of the October audit reflects the commitment of the cityโs leadership and workforce to maintain quality standards, strengthen organizational processes, and keep improving public services, according to the city government.
Officials said the achievement is in step with the Marcos administrationโs Bagong Pilipinas agenda of building a more efficient, transparent, and people-centered government, with local governments delivering quality service to every Filipino. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
