PCOL JEFFERSON B. ARAOJO, Provincial Director of the Masbate Police Provincial Office, led the Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony on August 24, 2026, at Camp Col. Bonny Serrano, Brgy. Ibingay, Masbate City.
A significant part of the ceremony was the recognition and awarding of Masbate PPO personnel who demonstrated exceptional dedication, courage, competence, and commitment in the performance of their duties, particularly in law enforcement and in ensuring the safety and security of the community.
Among those recognized were PMAJ HADRIAN M. SAN ANTONIO, Chief of Police of Milagros Municipal Police Station, and Patrolman Emmanuel Christian J. Bayaga, for their successful operational accomplishment on August 16, 2026, in Brgy. Bara, Milagros, Masbate, which resulted in the arrest of three suspects. A case for violation of Presidential Decree No. 449 was subsequently filed against the suspects through inquest proceedings before the Provincial Prosecution Office, Masbate City, on August 17, 2026.

Adding a deeply personal and meaningful dimension to the ceremony, PMAJ HADRIAN M. SAN ANTONIO also served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, he shared his experiences as the son of a police officer, emphasizing the importance of spending quality time with oneโs children despite the demands and responsibilities of police service.
Drawing from his own childhood, PMAJ SAN ANTONIO shared how he grew up understanding the demands and sacrifices that came with his fatherโs calling as a police officer. Although his father was often away due to the responsibilities of his profession, he learned at an early age to appreciate the dedication and commitment behind his fatherโs service.
Surrounded by members of the police family, he came to understand the unique challenges faced by police families. However, the precious moments he wished to share with his father became memories he could no longer create when his father eventually lost his life in an ambush in Samar.
His heartfelt message served as a reminder to fellow police officers that while their duty to protect the community is noble and demanding, their responsibility as parents is equally important. He encouraged police personnel to make time for their children, be present in their lives, create meaningful memories, and express their love and appreciation while they still have the opportunity to do so.
His story underscored a powerful message: police officers may be called to protect many lives, but they should never forget the lives waiting for them at home.
The recognition of these personnel, coupled with PMAJ SAN ANTONIOโS inspiring message, highlighted not only the professionalism and dedication expected of every police officer but also the importance of family, sacrifice, and the human side of police service.
