YABE is a non-stock, campaigning youth organization that empowers, enlightens, and engages youth sector towards community development and nation building.
Established in 2012, YABE sprouted as an initiative of time-tested leadership of student and youth leaders in Mandaue City, Cebu through a simple advocacy to minimize illegal disposal of solid waste as it promote “upcycling” activities. The inspired group led the production of improvised rain catchers in Subangdaku, Mandaue City and organized enhancement seminars to youths through the support of Y
oung Minds Academy of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. It also launched the Bb. Kalikasan pageant for youth’s active involvement on environmental conservation. Since then, YABE has blossomed into a network of like-minded individuals working together to make the Planet a better place to live in through initiating activities that promote environmental sustainability. Today, YABE is a non-stock, campaigning youth organization that empowers, enlightens and engages young individuals in Mandaue City towards community development. This provides avenue where youth can participate and initiate their own activities that foster positive change, which can contribute to building our nation and for the betterment of our home planet Earth. The name of the organization speaks for our vision of a proactive youth sector acting for a better Earth through our 3Es mission, namely, Empowerment, Enlightenment, and Engagement.
