The Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital – School of Midwifery Library joins the Filipino Christian community in observing Maundy Thursday today, April 2, 2026.

In observance of the holiday, the library is closed to the public.

A new study explores why students choose midwifery as a career in the United Arab Emirates.

Findings show that a passion for helping patients, curiosity about the profession, and a desire to work in healthcare are key motivators. Even when faced with challenges, students remain committed and would recommend midwifery to others. Understanding these motivations can help attract and support the next generation of skilled midwives.

In line with the implementation of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, the library will follow an updated service schedule starting 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.

This is in compliance with 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮ñ𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟭𝟰, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, which directs all government agencies to adopt energy conservation protocols.
