A nationwide community-driven clean-up program has been implemented by the Department of Interior and Local Government. Its primary goal is to ensure a healthy and safe environment by promoting responsible solid waste management through the reduction or elimination of waste in various waterways that is geared towards the alleviation of flooding and maintenance of cleanliness to prevent the spread of disease.
