𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Deputy Commandant for Administration, Vice Admiral Hostillo Arturo Cornelio PCG, presided over the Oath-Taking Ceremony of three newly promoted and six newly appointed Non-Uniformed Personnel held at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, and via an online platform, on September 17, 2026.

The newly promoted personnel are:

1. Ms. Mia Quintans – Administrative Assistant V (ECET III)
2. Mr. John Kenneth Ramirez – Administrative Assistant II (HRM Assistant)
3. Ms. Maria Luisa Son – Registration Officer II

The newly appointed personnel are:

1. Ms. Lorenz Claridad – Administrative Assistant III (Storekeeper III)
2. Ms. Babie Jean Baoc – Administrative Assistant II (Accounting Clerk III)
3. Mr. Jayson Linao – Administrative Assistant II (Accounting Clerk III)
4. Ms. Claudine Garacho – Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II)
5. Ms. Ian Agoncillo – Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II)
6. Ms. Shiela Mae Alvarez – Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II)

In his message, Vice Admiral Cornellio congratulated the newly promoted and appointed personnel and welcomed them to the PCG. He emphasized the importance of remaining focused on their duties and continuing to serve with dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service. He further underscored that the PCG is strengthened not only by its uniformed personnel but also by its Non-Uniformed Personnel, whose contributions are essential to the organization’s daily operations and overall mission. He encouraged everyone to take pride in their roles and remain committed to serving the Filipino people.

The Non-Uniformed Personnel Affairs Office participated in this year’s International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) 2026 on 19 September 2026 at the Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach, Roxas Boulevard, Manila City.

Spearheaded by the DENR National Capital Region, the campaign brings together government offices, organizations, and volunteers in a collective effort to promote environmental responsibility and protect our coastal and marine environment.

Together, let’s keep our shores clean and our communities green! 🌱

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Deputy Commandant for Operations, VADM EDGAR L YBAÑEZ PCG, administered the oath to two (2) newly promoted and two (2) newly appointed Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) during a virtual oath-taking ceremony held today, 09 July 2026.

The newly promoted Non-Uniformed Personnel are:
• Ms. Barbra Salcedo – Administrative Officer III (Supply Officer II)
• Ms. Angelica Bernardo – Accountant III

The newly appointed Non-Uniformed Personnel are:
• Ms. Hannah Asuncion – Engineer II
• Mr. Nicole Matthew Lozano – Dentist II

In his message, VADM YBAÑEZ PCG congratulated the newly promoted personnel and welcomed the newly appointed NUP to the Philippine Coast Guard. He emphasized that their promotion and appointment carry greater responsibility to uphold professionalism, integrity, and excellence in public service. He likewise reminded the oath-takers that the oath they have taken is a solemn commitment to faithfully perform their duties and serve the Filipino people with honor and dedication.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), through the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC), successfully entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Asia Pacific College (APC) on 16 June 2026 at the National Maritime Council Conference Room, NHQ-PCG.

The MOA was formally signed by VADM ALLEN J DALANGIN PCG, Acting Commander, CGHRMC, and Ms. Ma Teresita P. Medado, President, Asia Pacific College.

This partnership opens valuable educational opportunities for active PCG personnel and their families through APC’s academic programs and learning initiatives. Under the agreement, qualified PCG personnel, and their dependents, to include siblings, may avail of a 60% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for undergraduate studies, and 20% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for graduate studies.

The partnership also provides access to the IBM SkillsBuild Learning Platform, offering online courses, learning pathways, and digital credentials designed to enhance professional competencies and develop skills in emerging technologies. Through APC’s online learning capabilities, Philippine Coast Guard personnel nationwide, including those assigned in remote areas of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, may conveniently pursue their educational and professional development goals.

Following the successful signing ceremony, CGHRMC personnel together with CAPT JEFFREY R COLLADO PCG facilitated a guided ship tour for the APC Officials aboard BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409). The activity provided the guests with an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the capabilities, equipment, and operational functions of the PCG’s maritime assets, while further strengthening institutional awareness and fostering closer collaboration between the PCG and the academic community.
