LOOK: The Officers and crew of BRP TERESA MAGBANUA (MRRV-9701) recently undertook a comprehensive familiarization session focused on damage control and firefighting equipment.
This proactive effort, driven by the Engineering Department, aimed to ensure the vessel's utmost operational efficiency and preparedness to handle unforeseen emergencies.
As part of this initiative, they ingeniously crafted a demonstrative pipe, featuring various perforations, to showcase the utilization of diverse shoring materials.
By providing hands-on experience through this demonstration, the officers and crew of MRRV-9701 ensured a profound understanding of the diverse methods available for stabilizing the vessel under different circumstances.

Last 29-30 June 2023, the Officers and crew of BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) initiated a Mangrove Propagules Planting activity in two areas namely, coastal waters of PCG Light Station Bancao-Bancao, Brgy Bancao-Bancao and Palawan State University (PSU) Sandiwa Bay, Brgy Tiniguiban Heights, all in Puerto Princesa City Palawan in coordination with Special Operation Unit Palawan (SOU-Pal), Explosive Ordnance Department (EOD-Pal) and representatives from Local Brgy of Bancao-Bancao and staff from Palawan State University (PSU). A total of 310 mangrove propagules were successfully planted, with this initiative the intention is to be an on going project, further it is expected to serve as an additional habitat and maritime protection for the marine diversities in the area
