The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Education (DepEd) and Mariano Ponce Elementary School works jointly for the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program.

The purpose of the said project is to give and provide assistance to college students coming from the low-income families wherein they will render service to support struggling and non-reader grade school learners caused by the pandemic.
By doing so, government initiative is to help alleviate learning deficiency in terms of reading; hence, the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program came forth.

This were comprises of Learning Facilitators and Youth Development Workers as they commence on their duties as one the tutors conducting reading sessions. Armed with knowledge and trainings will help them teach Grade 1 learners who are struggling and non-readers.

On the other hand, the Youth Development Workers will conduct sessions for the parents/guardians on the topics that were relevant on the well-being of their children. Topics include children rights, parenting and child development.

After-session activities such as assignments and preparation for learning and reading sessions for their children are some of tasks to ponder the effectiveness of the program.

Mariano Ponce Elementary School which serves as a venue utilizing its facility in conducting tutorial reading programs in the fulfillment of the said project.

Hingi po ako ng tulong sa inyo na kung meron po kayo mga books, encylopedia, textbooks, storybooks etc. na gusto niyo pong i-donate para sa ating library... ito po ay malugod kong tinatanggap..

Alalahanin po natin kung ito po ay ating ido-donate ay wala po itong punit,.o missing pages at mga sulat sa mga pahina upang magamit pa ng ating mga mag-aaral.
