Surigao City hosted the 4th Bugsay Mindanao Paddle for Peace 2017 in Mabua Pebble Beach.
After its major success, the city decided to host the first ever international dragon boat race in the Mindanao island the following year.
The Surigao International Dragon Boat Festival is going on its 3rd run in April 2020. Held at the 2km- long Surigao City Boulevard. (The entire stretch is a functioning wharf by day and a promenade at night.)

we are pleased to be part of this process. Surigao City has been very supportive of the dragon boat sport from the time it hosted the 4th Bugsay Mindanao Paddle For Peace in 2017 which turned out very well. Now, we are on our 3rd Surigao International Dragon Boat Festival. It has been an inspiring partnership. 🏆🔱🤟
The collaboration with the Surigao City Tourism Council is super lit. They have rolled passion, dedication and fun to perfection!💯
