TRAINING TUESDAYS | Meet the Operations Specialist of the Philippine Navy

The Philippine Navy's Operations Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and sharing tactical information to support naval operations. They play an important role in maintaining situational awareness and assisting commanders in making informed decisions.

As a member of the Operations Department, the Operations Specialist is knowledgeable in radar systems, navigation, communications, and maneuvering. They can operate most consoles in the Combat Information Center (CIC) and have basic knowledge of Air, Surface, and Sub-Surface warfare picture compilation.

FLEET-MARINE UNILATERAL EXERCISE | The Northern Luzon Naval Command (NLNC) successfully conducted the Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Field Training Exercise (FTX) dubbed as Fleet – Marine Unilateral Exercise 2.0 from May 18 to 23, 2026, along the Babuyan Channel.
The exercise aimed to enhance strategic readiness, refine decision-making processes, and strengthen coordination across all levels of command to improve maritime operational capabilities in support of Northern Luzon’s defense posture.
