Celebrate the richness of Filipino identity this May 🇵🇭✨

Observed every May, Philippine National Heritage Month (Pambansang Buwan ng Pamana) promotes awareness, preservation, and appreciation of the country’s rich cultural heritage—both tangible and intangible. It was formalized in 2003 through Presidential Proclamation No. 439 to strengthen national identity and cultural stewardship.

Key Highlights:

Grand Flores de Mayo Revival (2026): Held at Manila Hotel, themed “Dalisay at Halimuyak,” blending Marian devotion with high fashion through collections from 35 leading Filipino designers.

“Sabat” Santacruzan: A dynamic, theatrical procession where performers stage mock ambushes and verbal or symbolic sword duels, preserving local folklore traditions.

Heritage Churches: Features 36 Spanish-era churches recognized as National Cultural Treasures, exemplifying “Earthquake Baroque”—a fusion of European design adapted to seismic conditions.
Night at the Museum: Extended museum hours with guided tours, performances, and interactive exhibits to engage younger audiences.

Global Link: Coincides with AAPI Heritage Month in the U.S., expanding international recognition of Filipino history and culture.
