Institute Student Government - Main The Institute Student Government - Executive Department is the highest student governing body of the EARIST-SG at the EARIST Manila Campus

The ISG shall be the highest student governing body of the EARIST-SG which shall be composed of the elected President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor and the appointed Committee Chairpersons. The ISG-ED shall have the following duties;

-To promote the welfare, ideals and interests of the organization, the
studentry, and the institute.
-To organize, coordinate and direct the activities, of the ISG for the
welfare of the studentry.
-To execute the provisions of this constitution and act and resolutions of the ISG Legislative Department (ISG-LD) that are beneficial to the
studentry.
-To perform other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the
Constitution.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), through VPAA Memorandum No. 005โ€“2026 dated October 5, 2026, reiterates the provisions of OP Memorandum No. 055โ€“2026, which explicitly state that students' purchase of textbooks and/or workbooks must not be imposed as mandatory.

๐Ÿ“Œ Faculty members are strictly prohibited from tying student grades, course attendance, or academic standing to the purchase of specific textbooks or workbooks.

๐Ÿ“Œ Alternative learning materials must be provided to ensure that all students have equal access to education, regardless of their financial capacity.

๐Ÿ“Œ Deans and Department Chairs are directed to monitor compliance and report any violations.

The Institute Student Government (ISG) โ€“ Main reminds everyone that access to quality education must never be determined by a student's financial capacity. No student should be disadvantaged academically for being unable to purchase prescribed textbooks or workbooks.

The rising heat index and extreme heat conditions may bring challenges to students attending classes, traveling to and from the institution, and carrying out their daily academic activities. We want to know how these conditions are affecting you.

In consideration of the consecutive suspension and shifting of classes, the Institutional Student Government (ISG) has formally requested a temporary adjustment in the implementation of the prescribed school uniform for first-year students, particularly those who have not yet had sufficient opportunity to secure their prescribed uniforms.
