𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍: Makaka-menos na sa oras ng biyahe at gasolina ang mga halos 11,200 na motoristang papunta ng Cabanatuan matapos pangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagbubukas ng Cabanatuan Exit ng Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX).

“Kailangan talaga yung travel time, paginhawain natin kasi kapag ang travel time umigsi, ang laki ng tipid sa konsumo ng krudo, diesel, gasolina. Dati from Tarlac to Cabanatuan, isang oras kahalati ‘yan, ngayon 20 minutes na lang nandyan ka na sa sentro. Ang laking bagay nito, sa pag-uwi ng mga kababayan natin for Holy Week, ang laki ng matitipid nila.” pahayag ni Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon.

Upon the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to accelerate strategic infrastructure in conflict-affected areas, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the Road Network Development Project in Conflict-Affected Areas in Mindanao (RNDP-CAAM) to strengthen connectivity and sustain peace in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The project progress and strategies to ensure the successful rollout of the RNDP-CAAM were the focus of the recent 5th Steering Committee Meeting led by Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain in Cotabato City, reaffirming the agency’s commitment for a Bagong Pilipinas to deliver high-impact road projects that reinforce peace and stability in conflict-affected areas, promote inclusive growth, improve mobility, and expand economic opportunities in historically underserved communities.

The DPWH Unified Project Management Office – Roads Management Cluster I (UPMO-RMC I) oversees the implementation of the project comprising three (3) major components totaling 80.97 kilometers of road network. Sub-Project 2 (Parang–Balabagan Road in the Provinces of Maguindanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur) covers 36.73 kilometers across Parang, Matanog, Kapatagan, and Balabagan as an alternative to Asian Highway (AH) 26, featuring 16 bridges and one (1) underpass, with Contract Package 2 underway and other packages progressing. Sub-Project 8 (Parang East Diversion Road), a 7.07-kilometer national secondary road in Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte, includes four (4) bridges and has reached over 15 percent completion since civil works began in June 2025. Meanwhile, Sub-Project 9 (Manuangan–Parang Road, Maguindanao del Norte) spans 17.42 kilometers linking AH26 to the Davao–Cotabato Road, with two major bridges and ongoing contract packages supported by close coordination among implementing agencies, LGUs, and security forces.

Funded by a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the RNDP-CAAM will build new national roads across key areas in Mindanao to improve low road density in BARMM and boost economic activity by enhancing access to markets, services, and jobs.

The project supports the government’s broader peace and development agenda, recognizing infrastructure as vital to stability and regional growth.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍: Nagtungo si Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon sa Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) upang inspeksyunin ang kalagayan ng Tarlac, Rio Chico River Bridge, at Aliaga Sections bago ito pormal na buksan sa publiko.

Ayon sa kay Secretary Dizon, ibinilin ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na paspasan ang natitirang repairs sa CLLEX upang guminhawa ang biyahe ng mga motorista at matiyak na mabilis ang daloy ng trapiko sa lugar.

Hiniling ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at ibat-ibang private organizations ang malalim na background checking ng mga appointees sa ahensya upang masiguro ang transparency at integridad ng mga bagong talagang opisyal.

Kasunod ito ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kay Secretary Dizon na linisin at maglunsad ng reporma sa ahensya.

Sa kaniyang liham kina National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago, Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Chair Benedicta Baladad, Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) President Alfredo Panlilio at Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) President Consul Enunina Mangio, makikipagtulungan ang DPWH sa NBI at pribadong sektor para busisiin ang background ng mga opisyal ng DPWH.

“Ang paulit-ulit na sinasabi ng Pangulo dapat linisin at hindi depensahan ang DPWH. Kasama ito sa reporma at paglilinis na ginagawa natin na dapat ang mga kasamahan natin ay incorruptible at sincere sa pagseserbisyo sa Pilipino,” sinabi ni Secretary Dizon.

Hiniling ni Secretary Dizon sa NBI at private sector na magsagawa ng masusing vetting process at background check sa 14 na DPWH executives mula undersecretaries hanggang assistant secretaries.
