𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Earlier today, 12 March 2026, CGSS North Harbor actively participated in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held at Pier 8, North Harbor, Tondo, Manila.

The said activity aimed to enhance earthquake preparedness and reinforce the importance of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” safety procedure during seismic events. Personnel demonstrated proper response actions and coordinated safety measures to ensure readiness in the event of an actual earthquake.

This activity highlights the commitment of CGSS North Harbor personnel to disaster preparedness and safety awareness, ensuring that everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively during emergencies.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟗–𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐂𝐆𝐒 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚, in coordination with 𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥, 𝐏𝐍𝐏 𝐒𝐖𝐀𝐓, 𝐏𝐍𝐏 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐆, and 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞, assisted in the apprehension of an alleged r**e suspect at the NorthPort Passenger Terminal, Manila.

𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟗 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫 received information regarding the 37 years old male suspect, who allegedly committed r**e against an 11-year-old minor in Cebu City, was onboard MV 2GO MASIGLA bound for Manila. Verification of the passenger manifest confirmed his presence onboard the vessel.

𝗢𝗻 𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐂𝐆𝐒 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐐𝐑𝐓) was deployed to North Port Passenger Terminal. Through coordinated efforts with partner law enforcement units, the suspect was successfully apprehended upon the vessel’s arrival.

Lubos ang pasasalamat ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) kay Pangulong Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. sa pag-apruba ng pagtaas ng base pay at subsistence allowance ng mga unipormadong miyembro ng organisasyon mula Enero 2026.

Ayon kay PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Cayabyab PCG, patunay ito ng kanyang patuloy na malasakit at pagkilala sa araw-araw na sakripisyo ng bawat Coastguardians upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan at seguridad sa malawak na katubigan ng Pilipinas.

“Ang karagdagang benepisyong ito ay hindi lamang magpapataas ng morale ng ating personnel. Magbibigay-daan din ito sa mas maayos na pagtataguyod sa kani-kanilang pamilya, habang ginagampanan ang kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin sa bayan,” ani Captain Cayabyab.

Makakaasa ang sambayanang Pilipino na magpapatuloy ang PCG sa paghahatid mabilis at kinakailangang serbisyo publiko tungo sa isang maunlad at matatag na bansang Pilipinas!

𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) responded to a fire onboard MV Meridian Dos at Pier 12, North Harbor, Tondo, Manila on December 3, 2025.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station North Harbor Boarding Team noticed the heavy smoke from the said vessel shortly after disembarking following a departure clearance inspection.

The team immediately coordinated with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Manila North Port Harbor Inc (MNPHI) for the immediate action.
According to the crew, the fire originated in the engine room and the cause is still undetermined.

In this regard, movement of all vessels, regardless of tonnage, with point of destination in or transiting through the following affected areas, is hereby 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗, except to take shelter:

On 28 October 2025, Commander, Coast Guard District National Capital Region–Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL), together with Acting Commander, CGS Manila and Acting Commander, CGSS North Harbor, visited the North Port Passenger Terminal to monitor passenger conditions and ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of Oplan Byaheng Ayos: Undas 2025.

The PCG continues to uphold its unwavering commitment to the safety, security, and convenience of all maritime passengers during the observance of the Undas season.

In preparation for 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, CGSS North Harbor, in collaboration with Coast Guard District National Capital Region - Central Luzon, CGMEDC NCR-CL, and different PCGA Squadrons, continues to monitor and ensure the safety and security of all passengers at the NorthPort Passenger Terminal.

Monitoring operations and passenger assistance have been ongoing since 27 October 2025, as part of the PCG’s intensified efforts to ensure safe and convenient travel during the Undas season.
