WEIGHTS AND MEASURES OPERATION | October 14, 2026

In response to the complaint we received regarding the inaccurate weighing scales at Altura Market, the Market Administration Office (MAO), through its Weights and Measures Team, conducted an inspection and enforcement operation. The activity resulted in the confiscation of defective weighing scales; one (1) from Roxas Street and two (2) from Altura Market 1 & 2.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely appreciate your concern and cooperation in helping us ensure accurate weighing, fair transactions, and consumer protection in our markets.

The MAO remains committed to conducting regular inspections and monitoring to protect the rights and interests of the buying public.
