Empowering Indigenous Communities Through Sustainable Livelihoods

From June 8–11, 2026, PULWAT, in partnership with TESDA, successfully conducted a four-day Capability-Building Training on Beads and Handicrafts Making for Indigenous women, farmers, and youth in Barangay Victory, Lantapan, Bukidnon.

This initiative reflects PULWAT's commitment to integrating community empowerment with watershed rehabilitation. By providing alternative and sustainable sources of income, the program helps reduce dependence on forest resources while strengthening the role of Indigenous communities as stewards of their ancestral lands and watersheds. Together, we continue to build resilient communities where cultural heritage, environmental conservation, and sustainable development thrive hand in hand.

The Pulangi Watershed Area Team participated the clean-up drive on March 21, 2026, in Maramag, Bukidnon as part of the Adopt-an-Estero Program of the MENRO Maramag. Through teamwork and shared responsibility, approximately 50 kilograms of solid waste were collected from the estero, properly secured in sacks, and hauled for disposal. This activity highlights the importance of collective action in keeping our waterways clean and protecting the environment for future generations. 🌿💧
