🏠 EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS: BE READY, STAY SAFE! 🌍

Before an Earthquake:

✅ Secure heavy furniture, shelves, and appliances.

✅ Prepare an emergency kit (water, food, flashlight, first aid).

✅ Know safe spots — under sturdy tables or against inside walls.

✅ Practice “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.”

✅ Make a family emergency plan and know evacuation routes.

During an Earthquake:

🔻 DROP to your hands and knees.

🛡️ COVER your head and neck under sturdy furniture.

✋ HOLD ON until shaking stops.

🚫 Stay away from windows, mirrors, and tall furniture.

🏫 If outdoors — move to an open area away from buildings and power lines.

After an Earthquake:

⚠️ Expect aftershocks — stay alert.

🚑 Check for injuries and give first aid if needed.

🔥 Turn off gas and electricity if you smell gas or see sparks.

📞 Listen to emergency updates — don’t use your phone unless necessary.

🏡 Inspect your home for damage before re-entering.

Warning date of “high impact” weather: 23 September 2025 (Tuesday)

Risk statement: Minor impacts are expected over Metro Manila
As local impacts may vary from location to location, the public and local authorities are advised to take all necessary measures to mitigate the impacts of heavy rainfall and flood in your respective localities.

Expected Impacts:
• A few of the health facilities may be damaged.
• Minor injuries and danger to life may be expected.
• A few houses and buildings, mostly makeshift or made of unreinforced light materials, may sustain slight to moderate damage.
• Few consumer connections may experience electric power interruptions.
• Water services may be interrupted in some areas
• Some disruptions in road, rail, sea, and air transportation may be expected, with a few passengers stranded. Some journeys may take longer than usual.

What to do?:
• Stay indoors and stay tuned for the latest news and weather updates.
• DO NOT touch electrical equipment if you are wet or standing in floodwater.
• DO NOT go swimming or boating in swollen rivers.
• DO NOT cross streams when the water level is already above the knee.
• DO NOT walk or drive through flooded areas.
• Leave the evacuation area only when authorities say it is safe to return home.
• Report fallen trees and electric posts to proper authorities.
• Check for wet or submerged electrical outlets and appliances before turning on electricity.
• Check your house for possible damage and repair as necessary.
• Make sure that the food and water for drinking are not contaminated by flood water.
• Throw away rainwater in cans, pots and tires to prevent breeding of mosquitoes.

Inaasahang sa Biyernes tatama sa ang bagyo, saka dadaan ng , , , , at pagdating ng umaga ng Sabado ay dadaan sa , at POSIBLENG sa ang bagyo bago lumabas ng sa gabi ng Sabado.
