Through the SAFATOS Program (Shoes and Footwear Accessories R&D Towards Omnibus Solutions), our master shoemakers in Marikina City are transforming 100% locally sourced tropical textiles—like abaca, banana, bamboo, and pineapple leaf fibers—into world-class, sustainable footwear.
Through the SAFATOS Marikina initiative, PFFI is proud to be the official maker of the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 candidates' footwear. From the hands of our grassroots artisans to the brightest stages of pageantry, Marikina footwear is proving that sustainability and high fashion belong together. Seeing the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 titleholders tour the facilities underscores a massive milestone. Come see the future of Philippine footwear innovation! (PFFI) is deeply honored and grateful to receive Resolution No. 97, Series of 2026 from the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Marikina, commending and congratulating PFFI, in partnership with DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) and the City Government of Marikina, for the successful launch and integration of the SAFATOS Marikina Collection as the Official Footwear Sponsor of the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Pageant.
