EPD BUY-BUST NETS PHP88,400.00 WORTH OF DRUGS; HIGH-VALUE INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED

As a setback on the illegal drug trade, operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Mandaluyong City Police Station successfully seized a more or less 13 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP88,400.00 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operations on February 3, 2026 at about 9:50 PM at Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City. The operations, carried out as part of the EPD’s intensified anti-illegal drug campaign which led to the arrest of the suspect, a.k.a. “Junel”, 38-year-old male, a resident of Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, listed as HVI Level 2 in the EPD Drug Watchlist.

“This successful operation is a result of our operatives’ vigilance, intelligence work, and commitment to duty,” stated PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, DD, EPD. “Let this serve as a strong warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade, we are intensifying our operations and will pursue every lead to ensure that those who choose to threaten the safety and welfare of our community will be brought to justice.” Warned the father of EPD.

Cases for Violation of Sec 5 Art II (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of RA 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against the arrested suspect before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office. While the recovered dangerous drug was brought to EPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. Pertinent documents are now being prepared for inquest proceedings. # # #
