On April 15, 2026, the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Regional Office I, led by Regional Director Melcy M. Baluyan, together with La Union Provincial Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the turnover of ICT equipment, with La Union as the pilot province under the Local Government Reform Project (LGRP) funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
