The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA served a total of 64,763 children across the region in 2025 through its Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), underscoring the governmentโs sustained commitment to improving child nutrition, health, and early childhood development outcomes.
Implemented in partnership with 62 Local Government Units (LGUs) across the MIMAROPA Region, the program delivered nutritious meals to children aged 2โ4 years enrolled in Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) and 3โ4 years in Child Development Centers (CDCs) under the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) framework. The 2025 feeding cycle covered 120 feeding days, with meals served five to seven days a week.

From August 11-28, 2025, the DSWD-SFP team visited various Child Development Centers (CDCs) across the region to monitor the implementation of the 15th Cycle Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP).
During the visits, the team provided feedback and technical assistance to Local Government Units (LGUs) to help enhance the programโs implementation.
Further, the LGUs were encouraged to adopt nutrition case management for undernourished children, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate interventions to prevent malnutrition and secure a healthier future.
The SFP aims to improve the nutritional status of children in daycare centers and promote healthy eating habits to support their growth, learning, and overall development.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted spot-checking of the 15th Cycle Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) deliveries in various Local Government Units (LGUs) of the province of Marinduque and Occidental Mindoro.
During the visit, SFP staff inspected feeding supplies, checked storage facilities, and verified delivery documents to ensure that the commodities were safe and complete before distribution to the children beneficiaries.
The 15th Cycle SFP aims to provide nutritious meals to 64,443 children enrolled in Child Development Centers and Supervised Neighborhood Plays across the MIMAROPA Region, supporting efforts to combat malnutrition and improve child health.
LGUs as program implementers were reminded to observe proper storage practices and submit timely reports to ensure smooth and efficient program implementation.

In line with the celebration of Nutrition Month and the National Disability Rights Week, a Nutrition Talk was conducted for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on July 17, 2025 at the Buenavista Municipal Complex.
The activity was organized by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Buenavista in coordination with the DSWD SFP MIMAROPA. It aimed to educate PWDs on the importance of proper nutrition and healthy eating.
The Registered Nutritionisti-Dietitians of the DSWD MIMAROPA discussed simple and practical tips on choosing healthy foods, proper meal preparation, and managing common health concerns through diet.
The event served as a way to promote health awareness and support the inclusion of PWDs in community programs.

DSWD SFP MIMAROPA and NDA Conducts Inspection of LGU Storage Facilities in Preparation for 15th Cycle Milk Feeding Program in Marinduque.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA, together with the National Dairy Authority (NDA) and the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Torrijos and Buenavista, conducted a storage facility inspection and orientation on July 16โ17, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming 15th cycle of the Milk Feeding Program in the province of Marinduque.
The personnel of NDA and DSWD SFP MIMAROPA inspected storage facilities managed by the LGUs. The inspection focused on checking the cleanliness, safety, and proper storage conditions of the areas where milk products will be kept.
An orientation was also held for LGU staff which covered key topics such as proper handling and storage of milk, distribution procedures, reporting requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of LGUs in the implementation of the feeding program.
The activity was part of DSWDโs continuing efforts to ensure the smooth and timely rollout of the Milk Feeding Program, which aims to support the nutrition of children in Child Development Centers and Supervised Neighborhood Plays.
The 15th cycle MFP is set to begin in September 2025.
