Muntinlupa-based photographer and Indigenous Peoples heritage advocate George Tapan will lead a special talk entitled “From Our Eyes: Indigenous Peoples Documenting the Self”—a conversation on photography as a tool for self-representation, cultural storytelling, and community perspective.

The session explores the importance of empowering Indigenous communities to document their own narratives through images shaped by their lived experiences and ways of seeing.

"From Our Eyes: Indigenous Peoples documenting the Self” invites CCP members and guests to reflect on photography as a means of self-representation and community storytelling.

To be led by photographer and IP heritage advocate George Tapan, the session explores the importance of teaching photography to Indigenous Peoples and how images made from within communities carry their own ways of seeing and speaking.
