| Day 4
Participants of the Training on Coconut Pest and Disease Management for Cluster Groups (Batch 4) took part in a field visitation and experiential learning activity, providing them with the opportunity to observe actual farm conditions, identify common coconut pests and diseases, and learn practical management strategies directly from experts.
This hands-on experience strengthened their understanding of effective pest and disease management while enhancing their capacity to apply sustainable and climate-resilient practices in coconut production.

| The Agricultural Training Institute – RTC IX successfully conducted the Three-Day Training on Cacao Production and Management (Batch 2) from June 2–4, 2026 in Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.
A total of 30 cacao farmers actively participated in the training, gaining valuable knowledge and practical skills on proper cacao production and management practices. Topics covered included cacao pruning techniques, pest and disease identification and management, farm maintenance, and post-harvest handling practices to improve productivity and bean quality.
The activity was graced by the OIC-Municipal Agriculturist of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, Mr. Walter B. Soriano, who expressed his support for initiatives that strengthen the capabilities of local cacao farmers and contribute to the sustainable development of the cacao industry.

| Malampusong nahuman sa Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center IX (ATI-RTC IX) ang Training on Corn Production and Management, Harvesting and Post-Harvest Technologies nga gihimo niadtong Hunyo 2-4, 2026 sa Pagadian City.
Gitambongan kini sa 29 ka mga mag-uuma sa mais, lakip ang usa ka partisipante gikan sa Jolo, Sulu, 25 gikan sa San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur, duha gikan sa San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, ug usa gikan sa Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur.
Ang maong pagbansay nagtumong sa pagpalambo sa kahibalo ug kahanas sa mga partisipante sa husto nga pagdumala sa produksyon sa mais, gikan sa pagtanom hangtod sa pag-ani ug post-harvest nga mga teknolohiya.

Day 4 of the Training on Integrated Nutrient Management for AEWs Batch 3 brought learning beyond the four corners of the room, as participants rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on soil sample collection activity at the Dipolog-Polanco Irrigators Associations, Inc.
Turning field observations into informed decisions, the day continued with the Rice Crop Manager Advisory Service session—equipping our Agricultural Extension Workers with smarter, science-based approaches for sustainable rice production.

| Presentation of ASAP to the Directorates by the EBAEC Pilot Batch of Zamboanga Peninsula
The four (4) groups from the Pilot Batch of the Expanded Basic Agricultural Extension Course (EBAEC) in Region IX successfully presented their Area Specific Action Plan (ASAP) to the Directorates on June 3, 2026 at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City.
Members of the panel include ATI National Director, Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III, ATI Assistant National Director, Antonieta J. Arceo, and DA-RFO IX OIC- Regional Executive Director, Vener L. Dilig.
The presentation and critiquing of ASAP aims to ensure that participants leave the EBAEC program with refined, actionable, and context-specific plan that can effectively contribute to improved performance, service delivery, and positive outcomes in their respective areas of deployment.
