The NSTP Students of PSU CCRD – Sofronio Española actively participated in the Community-Based Basic First Aid and Hands-Only CPR Orientation conducted by the MDRRMO Training Section headed by Mr. Nestor A. Asag, EnP, MPA, MGDH-I (LDRRMO).
Under the directive of MDRRMC Chairperson Abner Rafael N. Tesorio, this initiative aims to capacitate the community and strengthen resilience through lifesaving knowledge and emergency preparedness.
With the strong support of PSU Southern Cluster headed by Director Sandra Manzul, students were equipped with essential skills that can help save lives during emergencies and disasters.
Because preparedness does not stop on holidays or weekends — service to the community continues anytime, anywhere.

🚨 SAGIP–PALAWAN NOW IN SOFRONIO ESPAÑOLA! 🚑🔥
A new chapter in emergency response and public safety begins as SAGIP–PALAWAN officially opens its Operation Center in Sofronio Española, Palawan — strengthening faster rescue response, emergency coordination, and community safety services for every Sofronio Españolan.
Located at the MDRRMO Compound, Pulot Center, Sofronio Española, Palawan, the newly established operation center marks a significant milestone in enhancing disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities within the municipality.
Through the strong partnership between the Municipal Government of Sofronio Española and the Provincial Government of Palawan, responders are now more prepared, coordinated, and equipped to serve communities during emergencies, disasters, accidents, and rescue operations.
This initiative was made possible through the unwavering support of Governor Amy Roa Alvarez, Province of Palawan, through the leadership of Mr. Richristopher C. Magbanua, Program Manager of SAGIP–PALAWAN, and Mr. Cornelio F. Villegas Sr., Program Support Coordinator of SAGIP–PALAWAN.
The team was warmly welcomed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Abner Rafael N. Tesorio , Vice - Mayor Juhad I. Harmain and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Nestor A. Asag, EnP, MPA, MGDH-I (LDRRMO).
The opening of the SAGIP–PALAWAN Operation Center symbolizes unity, commitment, and shared responsibility in protecting lives and strengthening the resilience of every community in Sofronio Española.
Together, we continue to serve, respond, and save lives for a safer and more resilient Sofronio Española.
