Ong for their enthusiasm and unwavering support for initiatives that empower our youth and promote environmental sustainability.

We recognize the Mayor for his initiative and strong commitment to institutionalize this activity as a regular annual program of the LGU starting next year under the Municipal Youth Development Office, in collaboration with the Municipal Tourism Office and the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development, as he believes in today’s generation where gadgets and digital distractions have become dominant, this is exactly what the youth need, a meaningful experiences that reconnect them with nature, strengthen environmental awareness, and inspire a deeper sense of responsibility for conservation and the protection of our natural heritage.

A productive and meaningful meeting of the Local Culture and Arts Council (LCAC) was successfully conducted today, bringing together passionate individuals committed to preserving and promoting our municipality’s rich culture and heritage.

We are very happy that the meeting was filled with valuable learnings and meaningful discussions, particularly on 2027 annual cultural development plan, cultural mapping, programs and opportunities for the livelihood of local artists, the strengthening of the Culture and Arts Guild, and updates regarding the Tau’t Bato Petroglyphs Cultural Marker.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all council members for actively sharing their insights, ideas, and recommendations that will help guide future cultural initiatives of the municipality.

The LGU remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguard, celebrate, and promote our cultural heritage and artistic traditions for future generations. Together, let us continue working hand in hand in nurturing a community that values and takes pride in its cultural identity and heritage.

The 7th Youth Sustainability Leadership Camp officially commenced yesterday and will run until May 14, 2026. This meaningful initiative is spearheaded by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development in collaboration with Rare and the Local Government Unit of Rizal, Palawan through the Municipal Tourism Office and Municipal Youth Development Office.

The camp serves as a valuable platform to educate, inspire, and empower the youth to become future leaders and stewards of the environment. As a municipality known for its rich natural resources, diverse culture, and remarkable biodiversity, Rizal continues to recognize the important role of the younger generation in promoting sustainability, environmental protection, and responsible community development.

The Local Government Unit also extends its gratitude to the Municipal Mayor Norman S. Ong for the unwavering support for initiatives that empower the youth and promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
