Who can apply?
✔ Incoming regular 3rd year college students enrolled in a DOST-SEI priority S&T course
✔ Must have a GWA of at least 83% (or its equivalent) with no failing or conditional grades from 1st Year of the 1st Semester to 2nd Year of the 1st Semester, including any midyear terms.
✔ Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen.
✔ Must be of good moral character and in good health.
✔ Should not have previously availed of any DOST-SEI scholarship. (Applicants who applied before but didn’t qualify or didn’t avail themselves of the award may still apply.)

The Municipal Planning and Development Office conducted a three-day training, held from April 13 to 15, for its Barangay Support and Planning Unit focused on barangay planning. The training aimed to enhance the participants’ capacity in the preparation of barangay development plans, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively assist barangays in formulating their respective plans. The activity was facilitated by MLGOO Rosemarie Rogas EnP of the DILG Dumaran Field Office.

The Local Government Unit of Dumaran, Palawan conducted Two (2) Days Planning Workshop for the Formulation of the Annual Investment Program (AIP) for Calendar Year 2027.
The activity aimed to identify, prioritize and consolidate programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) that were aligned with the municipality’s development goals and strategic priorities.
The workshop was facilitated by Ma’am Rosemarie N. Rogas, EnP. Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, who guided the participants throughout the planning process and ensured that the discussions remained focused, participatory and aligned with established planning standards and guidelines.
It was further supported by the Municipal Planning and Development Office of Dumaran which provided technical assistance in the preparation, consolidation and documentation of the proposed PPAs.
The workshop served as a vital platform for collaboration among various stakeholders, ensuring that the proposed interventions were responsive to the needs of the community and were consistent with existing plans such as the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) and the Local Development Investment Program (LDIP).
All concerned offices, departments and stakeholders actively participated and contributed to the discussions, resulting in a comprehensive, inclusive, and results-oriented AIP for CY 2027.

On Day 2 (March 19, 2026), the Local Project Monitoring Committee, headed by the Municipal Planning and Development Office, continued its project monitoring and evaluation of both LGU and DILG-funded projects across Dumaran.
The projects inspected include:
1. Rural Electrification Project (41 Units Solar Street Lights – Brgy. Sta. Teresita
2. Construction of Pasalubong Center – Brgy. Sta. Teresita
3. Concreting of Circumferential Road – Brgy. Sta. Teresita
4. Construction of Barangay Health Center – Brgy. Culasian
5. Improvement of Water System – Brgy. Magsaysay
6. Improvement of Roads (So. Talisay–Community–Pantalan) – Brgy. Magsaysay
7. Construction of Agri-Drying Facilities and Equipment (MPDP Flat Bed Drier) – So. Bolo, Brgy. Itangil
8. Improvement of Water System – Brgy. Itangil
9. Construction of Agri-Drying Facilities and Equipment (MPDP Flat Bed Drier) – So. Malonlon, Brgy. Tanatanaon
10. Improvement of Water System – Brgy. Tanatanaon
11. Provision for Construction of Multi-Purpose Hall – Villaferma, Brgy. Ilian
The LGU of Dumaran continues to actively monitor all ongoing and completed projects to ensure that these are implemented according to approved plans and standards, in line with the municipality’s commitment to deliver quality services and infrastructure for its constituents.

Last March 18, 2026, the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC), headed by the Municipal Planning and Development Office, conducted a Project Monitoring and Evaluation of LGU-funded PPAs across selected barangays in Dumaran Island.
The projects monitored include:
1. Provision for Construction of Multi-Purpose Building – Bohol
2. Improvement of Water System Phase II – Catep
3. Purchase and Installation of 10 units Solar Street Lights – Catep
4. Improvement of Water System – Bacao;
5. Purchase and Installation of 10 units Solar Street Lights – San Juan
6. Provision for Improvement of Road/Installation of Riprap – San Juan–Lagan Road
This activity ensures that all implemented projects are aligned with the municipality’s development plans and are carried out accordingly. It also reflects the LGU’s commitment to deliver programs and projects that directly address the needs of the people

SITE INSPECTION & EVALUATION | Proposed Concreting of Panian–Candis Circumferential Road, Brgy. Danleg, Dumaran, Palawan
On March 11, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) together with the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Danleg conducted a site inspection and evaluation for the proposed concreting of the Panian–Candis Circumferential Road.
The road passes through major agricultural areas of the barangay and serves as an important route for farmers transporting their farm produce to markets. Improving this road will help ensure safer, faster, and more efficient movement of agricultural goods.
The project is being proposed for funding under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for Fiscal Year 2027, as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen farm-to-market connectivity and support the livelihood of farmers in the Municipality of Dumaran.

SITE INSPECTION AND EVALUATION | Proposed Farm-to-Market Roads, Brgy. Sta. Maria, Dumaran, Palawan
On March 11, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) together with the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Sta. Maria conducted a site inspection and evaluation for several proposed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) concreting projects in the barangay.
The proposed roads include Malaking Patag, Tagumpay, Magalongon, Canapnapan, Liwayway, and Sitio Ani farm to market roads.. The activity aimed to assess the current road conditions and identify the necessary infrastructure improvements in these agricultural areas.
Most of these roads are still earth roads, which become difficult to pass during the rainy season. Improving these roads will greatly help farmers and residents transport agricultural products to nearby markets and trading centers.
These projects are being proposed for funding under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for Fiscal Year 2027 as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure and support agricultural development in the Municipality of Dumaran.

SITE INSPECTION | Luminiba Road & Villaferma–Ilian Road, Brgy. Ilian, Dumaran, Palawan
On March 10, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) conducted a site inspection for the proposed concreting of Luminiba Road and Villa Ferma in Brgy. Ilian to assess the current road condition and identify needed infrastructure improvements.
The road serves as an important access route for farmers and residents, helping transport agricultural products to nearby markets and commercial areas. Improving this road will enhance accessibility, ease transportation—especially during the rainy season—and support local livelihoods.
The proposed project also includes the construction of a concrete bridge and spillway along the Ilian River to provide a safer and more reliable crossing for residents and transport vehicles.
This project is being proposed for funding under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) as part of efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure, improve connectivity, and support agricultural development in the Municipality of Dumaran.
