๐๐๐๐: In preparation for the upcoming Mangrove Planting Activity in line with the celebration of the Baragatan Festival 2026 and the 4th Synchronized Tree Planting Activity, Coast Guard Station Western Palawan, in collaboration with the Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPU) Rizal and Coast Guard Sub-Station Iraan, rendered assistance to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Rizal in the collection of mangrove propagules at Purok Aplaya, Brgy. Iraan, Rizal, Palawan.
The activity aims to support environmental conservation initiatives and strengthen coastal protection through the rehabilitation and preservation of mangrove ecosystems. It also underscores the commitment of participating agencies to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable coastal resource management within the community.

๐๐๐๐: Coast Guard Station Western Palawan, participated in tree planting activity in collaboration with the Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPU) Rizal, the Campong Ulay Womenโs Association, and Barangay officials.
The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Rizal as part of the celebration of the birth anniversary of the beloved Governor.
A total of 150 seedlings of African Talisay and Palawan Cherry were planted at Purok Proper, Barangay Campong Ulay, Rizal, Palawan.
This initiative underscores the strong commitment of the participating agencies and stakeholders to environmental protection, community involvement, and sustainable development.

๐๐๐๐: Coast Guard Station Western Palawan provided safety and security assistance during the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Seventh Youth Leadership Camp held at Kawa Logpond, Brgy. Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan. (proposed Marine Protected Area).
The activity involves field study and environmental assessment aiming to enhance environmental awareness, marine conservation, and youth leadership development. Personnel of Coast Guard Station Western Palawan ensured the safety and security of all participants throughout the conduct of the activity.
This initiative highlights the continuing commitment of the Philippine Coast Guard in supporting environmental protection programs and strengthening collaboration with partner agencies and the youth sector in preserving the marine ecosystem of Palawan.

๐๐๐๐| As part of the continuing environmental protection initiatives of the Philippine Coast Guard under the iCARE Program and in line with the celebration of the 28th Founding Anniversary of the Marine Environmental Protection Command, Coast Guard Station Western Palawan, in coordination with Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPU) Rizal, Coast Guard Sub-Station Iraan, and the community of Barangay Iraan, conducted a Mangrove Tree Planting and Feeding Program at Sitio Ariringon, Brgy. Iraan, Rizal, Palawan.
A total of 250 mangrove propagules were planted along the approximately 200-meter coastline, contributing to the protection and rehabilitation of the coastal environment while strengthening environmental protection efforts within the community.
The activity also featured a feeding program for local residents, encouraging community participation, cooperation, and environmental awareness among the participants.
This initiative reflects the Philippine Coast Guardโs strong commitment to environmental stewardship, coastal resource conservation, and sustained collaboration with the community in promoting a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable marine environment.

Personnel from the Coast Guard Station West Palawan (CGSWP), in coordination with the Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPERU) and local fisherfolk, successfully conducted a coastal clean-up along the Fishport shoreline in Purok Liwayway, Barangay Punta Baja.
During the activity, participants collected and properly disposed of various types of waste and debris found along the coast. This joint initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to maintain shoreline cleanliness, protect vital marine resources, and promote environmental awareness within the community.
The CGSWP and its partners continue to prioritize these efforts to ensure a sustainable and healthy marine environment for the residents of Punta Baja.
