A heartfelt thank you to Kapsehal Ian Sevilla and fmr. SK Chairperson Matthew Jolo Palacio for your continued support in making this event possible for our youth and community.
Indeed, Easter reminds us of hope, renewal, and togetherness that we continue to share and celebrate as one Barangay Luntad!

This Easter Sunday, we celebrate the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and light over darkness.
The tomb is empty, and that changes everything.

IN THE NEWS: SK LUNTAD LAUNCHES 'SKONEK' DIGITAL HUB FOR KK MEMBERS
In a move to bridge the digital divide and empower young people through accessible technology, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Luntad formally launched SKonek: The Luntad Digital Hub, a community-based initiative providing free access to digital tools and services for all registered KK (Katipunan ng Kabataan) members.
Located at the SK Hall, 'SKonek' is equipped with four computer units dedicated to supporting the academic and productivity needs of youth in the barangay. The hub offers services such as internet research, document writing and preparation, and free printing of up to 25 pages per KK member.
The 'SKonek' program is part of the 3-year rolling plan of the SK and is funded by the Committee on Education.
HOW TO ACCESS?
To access the services, KK members simply need to present their official KK ID to the designated Digital Hub officer. Priority is given to students working on school requirements and jobseekers preparing employment documents.
The SK plans to expand the project in the coming months by offering digital literacy sessions and online safety seminars, including the Microsoft Digital Literacy session.
SKonek is part of the SK Luntad's broader efforts to respond to the real, day-to-day needs of young people particularly in education, employment, and civic engagement.
With the launch of this initiative, Barangay Luntad becomes one of the pioneering barangays in the Municipality of Palo to provide free digital access tailored exclusively for the youth sector.

PALO, LEYTE โ The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Luntad has officially concluded the Alab Kabataan Mentorship Program, marking a historic milestone as the first leadership and development (L&D) initiative in the Municipality of Palo specifically designed for SK officials.
The culmination program was graced by Mr. Brian Elorcha, the Sangguniang Bayan Secretary, who represented Vice Mayor Jojo Chiquillo, affirming the local governmentโs support for youth-led initiatives and capacity-building programs.
SK officials were also given certificates of completion for completing TESDA's Online Program on Digital Literacy and United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affair's online course entitled "Transparency, Accountability, and Ethics in Public Institutions".
The Alab Kabataan Mentorship Program was initially conceptualized and introduced by former SK Chairperson Matthew Jolo Palacio as a legacy initiative to empower incoming youth leaders. The program officially started on their first module last January 2024. A key component of the program was the Alab Kabataan Leadership Congress, which also made history as Paloโs first-ever leadership congress initiated by a Sangguniang Kabataan.
The success of Alab Kabataan sets a strong precedent for youth development in Palo and is expected to inspire similar initiatives across other barangays in the municipality.
