On April 27, 2025, Tzu Chi Pampanga held its 8th Humanities Class for the academic year 2024-2025, bringing together 31 scholars, 3 volunteers, and 1 social worker for a valuable discussion on the theme of Financial Literacy.
An expert from Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) was invited to lead the discussion. ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ ๐. ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ณ, ๐๐๐, a highly respected resource speaker in the field of financial literacy, also serves the DHVSU Multipurpose Cooperative. The session provided the Tzu Chi Scholars with valuable insights and practical skills to manage their finances effectively, make informed financial decisions, and explore sound investment opportunities. Through this enlightening discussion, the scholars gained the tools they needed to secure their financial futures, enabling them to make smart financial choices and create long-term financial stability for themselves and their communities.
Thanks to the volunteers' collective efforts, the scholars were able to enjoy a delightful lunch together. The volunteers thoughtfully prepared a delicious meal featuring Vegetarian Paella and fresh oranges, ensuring that each scholar had a satisfying meal while also experiencing a strong sense of community and connection.

On March 9, 2025, Tzu Chi Pampanga hosted its 7th Humanities Class for the 2024-2025 academic year, bringing together 35 scholars, 5 volunteers, and 3 staff members from Manila for an insightful discussion on Disaster and Emergency Preparedness, focusing specifically on typhoon preparedness.
Tzu Chi Pampanga invited Mr. Rogelio G. Isip, MAEd, Director of Safety and Security and Chairperson of the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (UDRRMU) at Pampanga State Agricultural University. His extensive knowledge of disaster preparedness, particularly regarding typhoons and emergency situations, will provide invaluable insights to scholars. His experience will equip them with practical tools and strategies to safeguard themselves and their communities during times of crisis. We believe that his presentation will not only raise awareness about the importance of being prepared but also inspire our scholars to proactively promote safety and resilience in their lives and communities.
The emcee scholars organized an engaging activity to encourage their co-scholars to apply critical thinking and come up with effective strategies for coping with and responding to a disaster. The activity, titled 'Ready, Set, Design: A Disaster Preparedness Infographic Activity.'
Through the volunteers' shared efforts, the scholars were able to enjoy a delightful lunch together, as the volunteers thoughtfully prepared a delicious meal for everyone. They warmly served dishes like Adobong Egg, Potato and Carrots Curry, and Fried Vegetable Lumpia, ensuring that each scholar not only had a satisfying meal but also experienced the warmth and camaraderie of the gathering. The volunteers' dedication made the meal a heartwarming and memorable part of the event.

On February 9, 2025, Tzu Chi Pampanga held its 6th Humanities Class for the academic year 2024-2025, bringing together 33 scholars, 7 volunteers, and 4 staff members from Manila for an enriching and inspiring session.
The focus of the session was Responsible Teen Sexuality and Protective Behavior, an important topic that resonated deeply with everyone present. To guide the session, Tzu Chi Pampanga invited Ms. Marie Anne D. Valerio, Director of the Office of Gender Development at Pampanga State Agricultural University, as the guest speaker. She shared valuable insights on gender, sexuality, societal norms, and the importance of protective behaviors, fostering an open and respectful discussion with the scholars.
Beyond the learning, the day was also a celebration of generosity and support. Six scholars with the highest donations in 2024 were recognized for their consistent contributions throughout the year. Their acts of kindness were honored with special gifts, showing how compassion and responsibility extend beyond the walls of the session.
The volunteers played a vital role in making the event even more memorable by preparing a warm, delicious meal for everyone. They thoughtfully prepared dishes like Ginataang Kalabasa, Adobo Egg, and Tofu Skin for the scholars' lunch. Due to the volunteers' collective effort, the scholars were able to enjoy the meal together, sharing both food and meaningful moments together.
