When disasters strike, delayed testing and disrupted diagnostics can cost lives. This PJHRD* study highlights why medical laboratories are “foundational to disaster-responsive health systems yet remain a blind spot in national resilience planning.” Further, it shows how resilient infrastructure, digital systems, and mobile laboratories can protect communities when emergencies happen.
