THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF POTOTAN WILL SUSPEND WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND CLASSES IN ALL LEVEL BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE TOMORROW, OCTOBER 1, 2025 AS PER RECOMMENDATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ENGINEER TO MAKE WAY FOR INSPECTION OF BUILDINGS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL.
HOWEVER OFFICES IN DISASTER PREPAREDNESS, HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION.

π **Pototan: Most PWD-Friendly Municipality β Back-to-Back Champion!** π
This morning, our **Federated Officers of Persons with Disabilities** proudly joined the **Flag Ceremony held in front of the Municipal Building of Pototan**, marking another milestone for our municipality.
We are **honored to receive the award as the *Most PWD-Friendly Municipality/City*** β and even prouder to be recognized as a **2nd-time Champion**! ππ
This achievement is a reflection of the hard work, unity, and dedication of our PWD leaders and members, with the strong support of our local officials and community.
A heartfelt thank you to **Hon. Paolo Lorenzo L. Tirador**, SB Member of Pototan, for joining us in a warm and meaningful **breakfast fellowship** right after the ceremony. Your continued support uplifts and motivates the entire PWD sector.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
In view of the continued threat of heavy rains and flooding, and upon the recommendation of the MDRRMC, classes in all levelsβboth public and privateβacross Pototan shall remain suspended on Friday, July 25, 2025.
However, government offices in the Municipality of Pototan will resume regular operations on the same date to ensure the delivery of public services. An Executive Order will be issued accordingly.
We advise everyone to stay alert, avoid flooded areas, and continue monitoring official announcements from the LGU and MDRRMC.
Safety remains our top priority.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
In line with the advisory of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), classes at all levels and work in government offices will remain suspended tomorrow, Thursday, July 24, 2025, in several parts of the country due to the continued heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), intensified by Tropical Depression Emong.
Included in the affected areas are the provinces of Antique and Iloilo, and as such, the Municipality of Pototan will also implement this directive.
Concerned agencies and local government offices will maintain the presence of key personnel, particularly emergency responders and essential service workers, to ensure uninterrupted delivery of critical public services.
Stay safe and remain alert, Pototanons.

πΎπ Empowering Abilities Through Agriculture! ππΎ
In celebration of the 47th National Disability Rights Week, the Association of Persons with Disabilities β Pototan successfully held an Orientation on the Agricultural Program for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on July 22, 2025 at the Defcurpen Building, Pototan, Iloilo.
With the theme βInnovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together,β the event opened doors of opportunity for our fellow PWDs to learn, grow, and be part of the agricultural sector.
We thank the Department of Agriculture for the meaningful discussion, and our PDAO Focal Person Mr. Rex C. Benjamin for the support. This event reminds us that disability is not inabilityβand that inclusive farming means an inclusive future. π
