Sauyo ES Wins Gold in Taekwondo Poomsae at District Meet

Sauyo Elementary School achieved a remarkable victory at the District Meet Sports Competition held at Tandang Sora National High School. The school secured a gold medal in the Taekwondo Poomsae event, with student-athlete Rvhon Edward Tiongson delivering a stellar performance.

Tiongson’s win was guided by the skilled coaching of Mr. Ralph Espallardo, who has been instrumental in developing the school’s taekwondo athletes. The school’s Sports Coordinator, Dr. Protacio Sanchez, expressed pride in the young athlete’s dedication and hard work, which paid off with this impressive victory.

“We are immensely proud of Ruhou’s achievement. His commitment, combined with the excellent support from Coach Ralph, has brought honor to our school,” said Sanchez.

Dr. Cesar Retes extended his congratulations to the entire team and emphasized the importance of sports in the holistic development of students. “This victory not only highlights the talent of our athletes but also reflects the teamwork and spirit of our community,” Retes added.

This win marks another milestone for Sauyo ES in the district’s sporting events, reinforcing the school’s dedication to excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities.

Grade 5 Students Attend Day 1 of Campus Journalism Battery of Test

Aspiring young journalists from Grade 5 gathered today for the first day of the Campus Journalism Battery of Test held at the ICT Room. The event marks the beginning of their journey toward becoming skilled campus journalists.

The testing session, organized to assess the students’ knowledge in various aspects of journalism, including news writing, editorial writing, and feature writing, is part of a larger program aimed at nurturing future journalists. The battery of tests provides a platform for these aspiring writers to showcase their talents and refine their skills.

This initiative underscores the school’s commitment to enhancing communication and media literacy among elementary students, encouraging them to think critically and express themselves creatively.

The tests will continue in the coming days, as the young journalists eagerly await the opportunity to sharpen their skills further.
