𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗖𝗦𝗖 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗸𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀

Sa pagtutulungan ng National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) at lokal na pamahalaan ng Pateros, pormal nang binuksan ang Senior Citizens Center (SCC) sa Sta. Ana Multi-Purpose Building, E. Ragas Street, Pateros, noong Huwebes, 28 Mayo 2026.

Kasabay nito, inilunsad din ang kauna-unahang satellite office ng NCSC sa Metro Manila na maglalapit ng agarang tulong at serbisyo para sa tinatayang 10,000 senior citizens sa naturang bayan.

Sa ngalan ni NCSC Chairperson at CEO Atty. Ma. Merceditas N. Gutierrez, ibinahagi ni Acting Executive Director Ana Marie C. Calapit ang taos-pusong pasasalamat ng Komisyon sa patuloy na suporta ng Pateros sa mga inisyatibo para sa mga nakatatanda.

Ayon kay Dir. Calapit, nasa 700 pang munisipyo at lungsod sa buong bansa ang target na matulungan ng NCSC sa pagtatatag ng kaparehong SCC.

“Asahan ninyo na ang aming ahensya ay maghahatid ng technical assistance sa Pateros SCC sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan para sa legal, medikal, at iba’t ibang serbisyo,” pahayag ni Dir. Calapit.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) is intensifying its advocacy for age equality, calling for policies and programs that empower millions of older Filipinos as the country moves closer to becoming an aging society.

During the National Policy Forum on Age Equality held on 03 June 2026, NCSC Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Ma. Merceditas N. Gutierrez urged government agencies, the private sector, and communities to recognize the country’s growing senior population not as a burden, but as a valuable socio-economic asset.

"As we approach the Silver Horizon, we must build a society where age is never a barrier to dignity, opportunity, and meaningful participation," Atty. Gutierrez said.

The forum was organized by the Coalition of Services of the Elderly (COSE), the Confederation of Older Persons Associations of the Philippines (COPAP), and the National Movement of Older Persons (NMOP).

Hindi kailangang i-print o i-laminate ang digital National Senior Citizens ID (NSCID), gayundin ang inyong Registration Reference Number (RRN) mula sa NCSC website.

Ang screenshot ng digital NSCID ay lehitimo at sapat na para magamit sa pag-avail ng mga benepisyo at serbisyo habang ang printed RRN ay hindi required para sa pag-apply sa Expanded Centenarians Act (ECA) Cash Gift.

Mahigpit ding ipinagbabawal ang paniningil para sa pag-print o pag-laminate ng NSCID at RRN. Kung may naniningil para sa mga serbisyong ito, agad itong i-report sa NCSC para sa kaukulang aksyon.

Taos-pusong suporta ang ipinaabot ng NCSC sa turn-over ceremony ng 2 milyong lagda na bubuo sa kampanyang “Labindalawang Milyong Lagda para sa Matatanda” na pinangungunahan ng House Committee on Senior Citizens.

Ayon kay Atty. Gutierrez, malakas ang panawagan ng sektor ng senior citizens sa pamahalaan at umaasang diringin ito ng Kongreso para sa kaukulang pondo.

“It is not merely a symbolic gesture; it is a stark, quantifiable metric of public demand. These
signatures represent a direct, undeniable petition to the government to explicitly recognize the dignity and rights of our senior citizens,” ani Atty. Gutierrez.
