30 September 2026 (Tacloban City, Leyte) โ The Local Amnesty BoardโTacloban (LAB-Tacloban) held its 10th Case Conference on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at the 3rd Floor of the CCDLAO Building, Kanhuraw Hill, Tacloban City, marking another significant step in the continuing processing and resolution of amnesty applications in the area.
The conference was presided over by LAB-Tacloban Alternate Chairperson Atty. Ivy Ann C. Carba, with the participation of the Boardโs representatives from different government agencies. Joining the proceedings were DOJ Primary Representative RP Irwin A. Maraya, AFP Primary Representative Col. Jose Mari F. Torrenueva II, newly designated PNP Alternate Member PCol. Marben M. Ordonia, and Atty. Sheryl O. Arias from PAO.
A total of nine (9) applicants appeared before the Board for case conference, during which their respective applications were reviewed and considered based on the applicable rules and procedures governing the amnesty process. The Board likewise acted on seven (7) additional applications that were dispensed with conference, resulting in the signing of the corresponding resolutions by the LAB Members.
In all, sixteen (16) applications were resolved during the 10th Case Conferenceโnine (9) through actual case conference and seven (7) through the applicable process for cases dispensed with conference.
The conduct of the proceedings was also supported by lawyers and paralegals from the City Legal Office, who assisted the applicants in the preparation and completion of their affidavits and other required documents. Their assistance helped facilitate the applicantsโ participation in the process and contributed to the smooth handling of the cases presented before the Board.
The 10th Case Conference reflects the continued cooperation among the LAB-Tacloban members and partner offices in advancing the orderly processing of amnesty applications. Through sustained coordination and legal assistance, the Board remains committed to ensuring that applications are properly evaluated and acted upon in accordance with established procedures, contributing to the broader objectives of the governmentโs amnesty and peace initiatives.
