Under the Leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐏 𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐎, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP-NCR , With the support of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐃 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎 𝐉𝐑.,𝐃𝐒𝐂, District Fire Marshal, Quezon City Fire District, and Under the direct guidance of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐎 𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐂, Chief, Special Rescue Force-NCR, and the Different Personnel of BFP SRF-NCR.

The Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), through its Animal Health and Welfare Division, conducted a three-day Capacity Building on Animal Handling, Humane Restraint, and Emergency Response for personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) on September 22–24, 2026, in Metro Manila.

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of BFP-NCR personnel in handling animals that may be encountered during fire incidents, rescue operations, vehicular accidents, flooding, and other emergency and disaster situations. Throughout the activity, participants took part in lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and assessments covering animal behavior, scene assessment, responder safety, bite prevention, humane restraint and extraction, emergency animal triage, and relevant legal and ethical considerations.

The participants also gained practical knowledge on the proper use of animal restraint equipment, safe lifting procedures, and appropriate extraction techniques, ensuring that animals can be rescued safely while minimizing risks to both responders and the animals involved.

Beyond technical skills, the training emphasized the importance of coordination and inter-agency collaboration among BFP personnel, veterinary authorities, Local Government Units (LGUs), and animal welfare stakeholders in responding to emergencies involving animals. Through this initiative, the BFP-NCR continues to strengthen its operational readiness and response capabilities, ensuring that every rescue operation is carried out with competence, compassion, and respect for life.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐏 𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐎, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP National Capital Region, and 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐃 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎 𝐉𝐑., 𝐃𝐒𝐂, District Fire Marshal, Quezon City Fire District, the BFP-NCR Special Rescue Force continues to enhance its operational readiness and professional capabilities.

The newly designated Chief of SRF-NCR, 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐎 𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐂, led a meeting with SRF personnel at the SRF-NCR Regional Headquarters, Rolling Hills Fire Station, focusing on key concerns involving training, deployment, capability development, and ASEAN-related engagements.

The meeting resulted in clear priorities for skills development, deployment readiness, operational coordination, and personnel competency, reinforcing a unified commitment to a more capable, disciplined, and mission-ready Special Rescue Force.

District Fire Marshal, Quezon City Fire District, and Under the direct guidance of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐄 𝐐 𝐁𝐀𝐄𝐍𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Chief, Special Rescue Force-NCR, The Personnel of SRF-ORD Rolling Hills Fire Sub-Station , led by SFO4 June C Awakan , Team Leader Shift A, conducted an inspection of equipments, organization and maintaining the cleanliness of storage area, an activity that can help the readiness of the personnel.

The Special Rescue Force emphasizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in its storage areas. Proper organization, systematic arrangement, and regular maintenance of equipment and supplies ensure their accessibility, accountability, and readiness for deployment whenever the need arises. Maintaining a clean and organized storage facility reflects discipline, responsibility, and commitment to operational excellence in the performance of our mandate to save lives and properties.

The Special Rescue Force ensures the operational readiness of its Rescue Boom Truck through regular inspection, proper maintenance, equipment checking, and systematic preparation.
Maintaining the vehicle and its rescue equipment in good working condition is essential to ensure immediate response, effective rescue operations, and the safety of both responders and the communities we serve.Through continuous preparedness and equipment readiness, the SRF remains committed in providing swift, reliable, and effective emergency response whenever and wherever assistance is needed.
