APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN | The Ten Outstanding Firefighters of the Philippines 2026 are now accepting nominees! Now in its third year, this project was borne of the partnership of BFP and SM PRIME Holdings, Inc., to give due recognition for exemplary BFP Personnel.

The Search is open to all active BFP Commissioned Officers - from Fire Inspector (FINSP) to Fire Senior Superintendent (FSSUPT) (except those assigned as Regional Directors or Officer-in-Charge, Regional Offices), and Non-Commissioned Officers - from Fire Officer 1 (FO1) to Senior Fire Officer 4 (SFO4) with the following eligibility/qualifications:

- At least five (5) years of continuous service as of date of nomination;
- Very Satisfactory (VS) rating or higher for the last six (6) rating period;
- No pending administrative and criminal case; and
- Not due for retirement within the year 2026.

The uniform criteria for the selection in the National Level Search are as follows:

The activity promotes health, energy, and overall well-being, supporting personnel in maintaining readiness for duty.

On 30 May 2026, the Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP NCR), through the Quezon City Fire District Special Rescue Force (QCFD Hercules North), in coordination with the Laging Handa Fire Sub-Station, successfully conducted a rescue operation involving a person in distress along Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Upon receiving the report, responding personnel immediately proceeded to the area, assessed the situation, and carried out the necessary rescue measures to ensure the individual's safety. Through effective coordination and teamwork, the operation was completed safely and efficiently.

The successful rescue operation demonstrates the importance of preparedness, quick decision-making, and coordinated response in addressing emergencies. BFP NCR remains committed to providing timely and responsive rescue services in support of public safety and community welfare.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | BFP NCR Conducts Ocular Inspection of Proposed BFP Museum and Fire Safety Awareness & Training Facility at MINDs Park.

The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ National Capital Region (BFP NCR), headed by FSSUPT ATTY. ARCHIE R. ANDUMANG, Acting Regional Director, conducted an ocular inspection of the Proposed BFP Museum and Fire Safety Awareness & Training Facility at MINDs Park, Ayala Malls Aseana, Paraรฑaque City.

The activity aimed to assess the suitability of the site for the planned development, which seeks to strengthen fire safety education and public awareness. The initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Philippine Amusement and Entertainment Corporation (PAEC), in support of the establishment of the proposed facility.

The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ National Capital Region (BFP NCR), led by Acting Regional Director, FSSUPT ATTY. ARCHIE R. ANDUMANG, took part in the 2nd Induction of New Members and Oathtaking Ceremony of the Central Fil-Chinese9 Fire Rescue and Civic Welfare Association, Inc. on June 3, 2026, at the FFCCCII Federation Center, Muelle de Binondo, Manila.

The BFP NCR recognizes the vital role of fire volunteer organizations in supporting fire safety, emergency response, and community service efforts. Through its participation in activities such as this induction and oathtaking ceremony, the Bureau strengthens its partnership with volunteer groups in promoting a safer and more prepared community.

The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ National Capital Region (BFP NCR), led by Acting Regional Director, FSSUPT ATTY. ARCHIE R. ANDUMANG, conducted a site inspection of the BFP E911 Command Center in NCR on June 3, 2026.

The inspection was conducted to assess the suitability of the facility and designated area for the establishment of an E911 Command Center that will support improved emergency communication and response services for the public.

The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ National Capital Region (BFP NCR), through its respective City and Municipal Fire Stations, actively participated in Brigada Eskwela 2026 in schools within their Areas of Responsibility in support of the Department of Educationโ€™s annual school readiness program.

Following the school clean-up and preparation activities, BFP NCR personnel conducted fire safety lectures and evacuation drills to strengthen the awareness and preparedness of students, teachers, and school personnel in responding to emergencies. As part of its commitment to community engagement, the teams also distributed school supplies to learners, supporting their educational needs while promoting a culture of fire safety.

Through these initiatives, BFP NCR continues to advance fire safety awareness, foster safer learning environments, and strengthen its partnership with the education sector and the communities it serves.
