For everyone’s safety, the scheduled Stargazing and Telescope Viewing Activity is CANCELLED tomorrow - August 13 at PAGASA Astronomical Observatory, UP Diliman Campus, due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Based on the extended forecast, most of Luzon will continue to be affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), bringing cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall. As an outdoor astronomical activity, telescope viewing and stargazing requires clear and stable sky conditions, which are not expected in the coming days. Proceeding with the activity may also pose risks to our visitors, personnel, and equipment.
We look forward to welcoming you to our future stargazing activities when weather conditions are safer and more favorable.
Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe and continue to follow official PAGASA advisories.
