9. Urakure, etc.

Ochaco & Toru over toppled Bolabola figurines, all trying to look like an art exhibit item.

But most importantly this wouldn't feel like a gallery piece if not for that majestic starry night of a landscape, painted by my wife on one of her occasional imaginative moments.

Well, heavens couldn't turn me into an artist so they made sure I married one ☺️☺️🙌🙌

Wala nang manggugulo pag magwowork ako sa labas kasi may bantay na akong dalawang a*o 😌😌

7. Burekufasu

Morning walk was cut short as I have other things to do at home. It was a short time well-spent nonetheless as I was able to bring back home a tray of eggs (minus two now), some veggies, longganisas, and these pandesals.

Uh, no, those three peskiballs on the right are neither eggs nor pandesal. Nakikikain lang sila. 🫢

6. That Fair Fair Reroute

We originally thought of celebrating the week's leisure by attending the Philippine Book Festival held in SM Megamall. Unfortunately, the recent-days' short planning didn't allow us to be there this time; that, plus a handful more rea*ons: budgeting, indecisiveness, venue distance, wired schedules, fear of crowd. We'll probably try again another time (no pressure 😆).

Luckily, the weekend did not go to waste. When I learned on a Friday night that there has been in fact an ongoing Sakura Festival by Ozine Fest at SM North EDSA Annex and will still be in exhibit over the next two days, I told myself ah this is a "fair exchange" 🙌🙌

Note to self: Ask for all the shop names next time after purchasing. Maybe get their cards, if there's any. Proper crediting could help promote their businesses 🥳

5. Sugar Hiccup

Married life is a life school, a never-ending one. You won't be expelled, you can't unenrol. It's a whole campus of continuous learning situated in you and your partner's vast isolated dimension.

In 5 years of marriage, one thing I learned is about "keeping up". Differences are always there, but in the end you always find ways to become similar, or make it seem things are never different anyway to begin with. Silly things take place behind the scenes. Adjustments are made so the other is not left behind.

Those adjustments are done without a request for expectation nor a hint of condition. And even if things are never easy, things are indifficult either as long as the other one is willing to pause walking until the other one has caught up. There the strides become one again.

4. so FAR so GOodddd

Why I didn't get to explore Fargo during my unemployed year could highly be accounted to my own classic case of "hindi-kasi-ako-nanonood-ng-mga-new-stuff attitude". Kaya ayan huli ako sa balita. But 11 years of being behind for this show is, I proudly say, worth the dormancy. This is just so fckn great!

Sea*on 1 done and hoping the rest of them is going to be closely - if not equally - exquisite!

3. Gaara Day

Gaara de Patata celebrates birthday with a slice of 'rare cheesecake' (it's what it's called at the cafe).

Dati ibinibili ko pa siya ng adobong gizzard sa Mapishi, but for this year cake naman. At may mga kumbidado siya wag kayo ahaha

It's Ochaco's birthday and wow she found a travelling companion for the week. I happen to overheard their chat:
