Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino issued Department Order No. 239-E, Series of 2026, enhancing the Department’s emergency employment program through integrated work-to-skills/enterprise/employment pathways under seven flagship innovations.

Sa OWWA Kasanayan at Kabuhayan Center (OKKC), bukas na ang pre-registration para sa mga kwalipikadong active at inactive OFWs, pati na rin ang kanilang qualified dependents, para sa mga libreng training na handog ng OWWA katuwang ang TESDA.

Isinagawa ang DOLE-TUPAD Orientation para sa 300 benepisyaryo ng programang TUPAD bilang paghahanda sa kanilang pagganap ng mga itinakdang gawain at responsibilidad sa ilalim ng programa.
Pinangunahan ito ng Public Employment Service Office (PESO) sa pamumuno ni PESO Senior Labor and Employment Officer Claudine P. Santos.
Sa isinagawang orientation, ipinaalala sa mga benepisyaryo ang mga dapat at hindi dapat gawin sa oras ng kanilang trabaho.
Layunin nito na matiyak na ang bawat TUPAD beneficiary ay maayos na nakahanda, may sapat na kaalaman sa kanilang mga responsibilidad, at sumusunod sa mga patakaran ng programa.

Consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to provide more responsive labor assistance to workers in the maritime industry, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is reinforcing its labor protection for Filipino seafarers.

Secretary Francis N. Tolentino has signed Administrative Order No. 283, Series of 2026, establishing the Maritime Labor Affairs Office (MLAO), a dedicated office under the Office of the Secretary that will consolidate legal assistance, conciliation, dispute settlement, workers' education, and employment services for Filipino seafarers.
