TILAPIA FINGERLINGS RELEASED AND DISTRIBUTED TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ANTONIO

The LGU San Antonio under the leadership of Hon. Edzel L. Lonzanida, M.D. thru the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Jenny Babe D. Caabay assisted the releasing and distribution of Tilapia Fingerlings from DA- BFAR III.
More than 30,000 tilapia fingerlings from DA- BFAR III were released in Pamatawan River, Dinumagat River, Namanaan Dam and Angeles Dam. It was released by BFAR Staff headed by Mr. Antonio Taduan, Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Jenny Babe D. Caabay with MAO Staff and with the Municipal Secretary Mr. Norman Cantil from the Office of the Municipal Mayor. Also, more than 15,000 tilapia fingerlings were given to the inland fisherfolks of San Antonio. This aims to promote the growing aquaculture in our Municipality and to support our inland fisherfolks.

Ang ating lokal na pamahalaan ng bayan ng San Antonio sa pangunguna ng ating butihing mayor Edzel L Lonzanida, M.D sa tulong ng Municipal Agriculture office ay matagumpay na naisagawa ang Kadiwa ng Pangulo noong Pebrero 19, 2024.

Ang nasabing aktibidad ay nilahukan ng ibat ibang sector kagaya ng sektor ng agrikultura, medesina, pagpoproseso at grocery. Layunin ng programang ito na makapag bigay ng murang bilihin para sa mga mamamayan ng bayan ng San Antonio .

With the support of the Office of the Municipal Mayor Hon. Edzel L. Lonzanida and the assistance of the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Jenny Babe Caabay, the MOA signing and Orientation of the Payao/ Fish Aggregating Device distribution to the 4 municipalities (San Antonio, Subic, San Felipe, San Narciso) of Zambales composed of 7 associations was successfully done and hosted on February 27, 2024 held at Event's place, Brgy. Rizal, San Antonio,Zambales.

This project was funded by the Provincial Government of Zambales under the leadership of Hon. Gov. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr. thru the Provincial Agriculture Office - Fisheries Development Section.

The MOA signing and Orientation was attended by Hon. Lugil S. Ragadio, Board Member 2nd District of Zambales Committee on Food and Agriculture, Mr. Edwin Domingo, Senior Aquaculturist/ Fisheries Development Section along with his staff, Mr. Jovy Arlantico, Municipal Administrator of San Antonio, their Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Jenny Babe Caabay and the Presidents/ Fisherfolk Leaders of the 7 associations from 4 different municipalities as the beneficiaries of the said Payaos/ Fish Aggregating Device.

In compliance with Executive Order No. 305, the Local Government Unit of San Antonio under the leadership of Hon. Edzel L. Lonzanida, M.D. thru the initiative of the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Jenny Babe D. Caabay conducted a Fishing Vessel Clearance Caravan in the two Coastal Barangays of San Antonio; in Brgy San Miguel and Brgy. Pundaquit last January 18, 2024 in coordination with the PNP- Maritime Group, MENRO, Pundaquit Barangay Council, San Miguel Barangay Council, MFARMC and Bantay Dagat.
This aims to achieve a high number of registered fishing vessels having three (3) Gross tonnage and below in the municipality and to ensure that the fishing vessels are not involved in any criminal offense.

With the support of the Office of the Mayor Hon. Edzel L. Lonzanida, M.D. and the assistance of the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Jenny Babe D. Caabay, The Burgos, Luna, San Juan (BLSJ) Irrigators Association, Inc. Recieved a Four Wheel Drive Tractor and Cabaruan-Lenoron (CABLE) Farmers Association recieved a Single-Pass Tractor from DA-Philmec last January 26, 2024 at Balin, Sambali, Iba, Zambales.

The Local Government of San Antonio led by our Mayor Edzel L. Lonzanida M.D. through the office of the Municipal Agriculturist headed by Ms. Jenny Babe D. Caabay and her staff spearheaded the distribution of free seeds and seedlings to the citizens of San Antonio, Zambales.

The aim of this program is to ensure food availability and sustain production. To intensify the promotion of backyard gardening by distributing free vegetable seeds and seedlings. To provide households, the opportunity to produce fresh and healthy food from their backyard to their tables.
