En Banc Meeting of the Committee on Finance

Earlier today, MLGOO Mary Jane C. Centino attended the En Banc Meeting of the Committee on Finance of the Sangguniang Bayan of San Francisco to defend the 2026 Peace and Order Fund.

During the session, MLGOO Centino as Head of MPOC Secretariat requested the Committee’s support for the passage of appropriate legislative measures that will further strengthen local peace and order initiatives and sustain collective efforts in promoting safe, secure, and resilient communities.

Ongoing Assessment by Panelists for the 2025 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Attrition Recruitment Program📃

The assessment process for the 2025 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Attrition Recruitment Program is currently in progress. Members of Ad Hoc Committee led by Vice Mayor Maria Luz B. Pinat together with MLGOO Mary Jane C. Centino, DepEd Supervisor Eva E. Josue and PLt Joel G Verano are conducting a thorough and multi-faceted evaluation of applicants to ensure they meet the standards required for entry into the police service.

This ongoing assessment goes beyond merely verifying the candidates’ qualifications and physical competencies. It is designed to holistically evaluate each applicant’s values, understanding of the role and responsibilities of a law enforcement officer, and readiness to serve as a community-oriented police officer

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of San Francisco (Anao-aon), Surigao del Norte has been officially activated at the municipal grounds under the supervision of the Municipal Mayor Val P. Pinat. This is in response to the recent earthquake and the issuance of a tsunami alert.

The EOC is tasked with coordinating all emergency response efforts, monitoring ongoing seismic and coastal activity, disseminating timely and accurate information to the public, facilitating evacuation procedures in high-risk areas, and ensuring that all necessary resources and personnel are deployed efficiently. The center also works closely with barangays through Punong Barangays (PBs), PDRRMO and national agencies to ensure a unified and effective response.

Residents are advised to stay alert, follow official advisories, and cooperate with local authorities during this critical time.

Pursuant to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2025 - 102 dated September 30, 2025, and in line with Proclamation No. 599, s. 2018, declaring the Saturdays and Sundays of March and October of every year as barangay assembly days, we are officially announcing the schedule of the Barangay Assemblies for all 11 barangays of San Francisco (Anao-aon).

These assemblies are vital platforms for transparency, accountability, and participatory governance.

All barangay officials, residents, and stakeholders are encouraged to participate actively in your respective assemblies. Your voice matters in building a better, safer, and more transparent local government.
