The trough (extension) of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) located east of Southern Mindanao is affecting the region.

It brings cloudy skies with scattered rain showers, lightning, and thunderstorms.

The LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone but carries a risk of flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

As of 8:00 AM today, 11 May 2026, Tropical Depression "CALOY" {Int'l name "HAGUPIT"} is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 05c) is being monitored outside the PAR and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

As of 8:00 AM today, 06 May 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 05a) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression (formerly LPA 05b) is still being monitored outside the PAR.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

The LPA was monitored as entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Low chance of tropical cyclone development initially, but high risk of significant rainfall.

Residents in low-lying, coastal, and mountainous areas should monitor local government unit (LGU) advisories.
