The Cadet Attachment Program Phase 3, culminating in a closing program graced by PCOL MARIA SHEILA PORTENTO, Acting Dean of Academics of the Philippine National Police Academy, provided invaluable practical experience to cadets through a mock police station environment. This immersive training, which included a mock conference meeting assessed by PCOL ANGELA REJANO, simulating the presentation of weekly accomplishment reports and crime status to a Provincial Director, aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world policing.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐄𝐃: 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲'𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The successful management of a simulated IED incident by the Maunlad Component City Police Station underscored the critical importance of immediate Incident Command System activation, swift interagency collaboration, and meticulous scene control. This exercise highlighted the necessity of a clear command structure, exemplified by the rapid deployment of first responders, SWAT, EOD, SOCO, and medical teams, alongside the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), while emphasizing the constant responsibility of police officers to uphold professionalism and public trust.

The day's rigorous Case-Based Scenario culminated in a challenging exercise for Police Lieutenant Colonel Jed Joshua Songco, Chief of Police of Maunlad Component City Police Station. He faced an unexpected and potentially volatile ambush media interview on a live television show, hosted by Ben "Tong" Tofu, regarding a public complaint against a police officer from his station. This scenario tested his ability to navigate the complexities of media relations while upholding legal and ethical standards, requiring him to balance transparency with the need to protect ongoing investigations and individual rights.

𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭 : 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫

The SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025's ongoing Case-Based Scenario reached a new level of intensity, demanding constant alertness and adaptability as cadets navigated a day filled with diverse law enforcement challenges. From routine administrative tasks like Daily Personnel Accounting and Reporting (DPAR) to high-stakes tactical operations involving simulated communist terrorist group (CTG) threats and internal security breaches, the cadets were tested on their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. The day's activities, which included COMELEC checkpoints, intelligence gathering, handling sensitive cases at the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), and executing a major Internal Security Operation (ISO), culminated in a camp defense simulation, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and quick decision-making under pressure.

𝐂𝐀𝐏 𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝟑 : 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 - 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

The day commenced with the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, which also served as the official kick-off for Women’s Month, followed by the cadets resuming their duties at their respective mock police stations. Under the supervision of Police LTCOL DAN AUGUST MASANGKAY, a significant Turn-Over of Command Ceremony provided crucial insights into leadership transitions. Further enriching their learning, PLTCOL DON ARCHIE SUSPEÑE conducted a session on National Police Clearance issuance, while PLTCOL BUENAVENTURA VILLEZCA shared his expertise on investigative scenarios, detailing case filing procedures. Culminating the day, an intelligence-driven buy-bust operation, planned and executed by members of Maunlad CCPS, provided the cadets with invaluable practical experience, followed by a debriefing.

The second day of the SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025's Phase III Cadet Attachment Program Case-Based Scenarios, a day dedicated to the practical application of law enforcement procedures. The cadets engaged in vital checkpoint and beat patrol operations, demonstrating their ability to operate effectively in a structured security environment. The checkpoint team, meticulously organized with specific roles, implemented heightened vigilance, conducting thorough checks and maintaining detailed records of all interactions, thus showcasing their commitment to procedural accuracy and operational efficiency.

The SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025 at the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) officially entered the crucial CAP Phase 3 Case-Based Scenario training with an opening ceremony, marking the transition from theoretical learning to intensive practical application. This pivotal event, which included an inspiring message from PCOL MARIA SHEILA TEMPLONUEVO PORTENTO, set the stage for cadets to immerse themselves in realistic law enforcement scenarios, designed to sharpen their decision-making, leadership, and operational capabilities. The ceremony served to underscore the significance of scenario-based learning as a vital bridge between classroom knowledge and the complex challenges they will face in their future careers as police officers.

On February 28, 2025, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025 embarked on an informative field visit to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). This immersive experience was designed to provide the cadets with crucial insights into the complexities of maritime law enforcement and disaster response operations, expanding their understanding beyond traditional land-based policing. The visit aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for the collaborative efforts between different branches of national security, particularly in safeguarding the Philippines' extensive maritime domain.

The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has taken a proactive step in preparing its future leaders by hosting a financial literacy seminar for the SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025. Recognizing the importance of fiscal responsibility in a law enforcement career, the academy invited Jail Chief Superintendent Brendan O. Fulgencio, Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 2, to deliver the keynote address. This initiative underscores the PNPA's commitment to equipping cadets with not only tactical and legal knowledge, but also the essential life skills necessary for long-term success and stability.

PHASE 2 ⎮ 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: F𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫

The PNPA held a preparatory meeting, led by Police Colonel Dawani Mae S. Joaquin, to get the SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025 ready for their upcoming attestation ceremony. This ceremony will mark their official pledge to fulfill the duties of law enforcement.

In anticipation of a simulated crime scene exercise, Team 1 of the cadets organized a clean-up of the Crime Scene Plaza on the PNPA grounds. This effort was intended to create a realistic setting for them to practice and apply the skills they learned during their Cadet Attachment Program.
