LGU Simunul conducts Islamic Symposium on Ramadan Fast
The agenda or main topics are (1) The Revelation of the Qur'an during Ramadan, (2) The Wisdom and Mysteries of Ramadan and the Fast during Ramadan, (3) The Night of Power (Laylatul-Qadr), and (4) Zakat.
The lecturers were Ustadz al-Amin Uttoh, Ustadz Omar Hussin Salasa, Hafidz Jamail Elloh, Jr., and Sheikh Hadji Faisal Malande, all of them natives of Simunul.
The municipal government, led by Mayor Madi Tidal (on official travel) and Vice Mayor Wasilah Tidal Abdurahman (in attendance), sponsored the symposium.
Also conspicuously present were Councilors Ismael Abdulatip, Abdurahman Idris, Nursal8 Hassan and Jamail Elloh, Municipal Administrator Hj Nagumo Salapuddin, Chief of Staff Hj Faisal Malande, school officials, and heads of the different offices and departments.
Today's symposium is the culmination of the series of symposia on the topic of Ramadan and Fasting conducted in Simunul during this holy month, which also coincided with the National Women Month's celebration.
Participants included municipal government officials and employees, women, youth and religious organizations, and madrasa students and children.
