The Local Finance Committee (LFC), chaired by Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr., held a meeting today, October 6, 2026, at the MRF Office.

The meeting discussed key fiscal matters concerning the municipalityโ€™s financial planning, resource management, and allocation of funds in support of its priority programs, projects, and activities.

Also present were Municipal Budget Officer Jojet Tupas, MDMG; Municipal Treasurer Henry Magbanua, LTE, MPA; Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Zerimie Ofong-Pilapil, EnP, LPT, MPA, MMEP; Municipal Accountant April Mark Meyen, CPA; Municipal Assessor Edna Tuna, REA, and Chief of Staff Ptr. The Local Government Unit of Lake Sebu, headed by Local Chief Executive Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr., held a discussion with representatives of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) regarding the Local Government Unit Support System (LGUSS) Program at the MRF Office, today, October 6, 2026.

The discussion focused on the LGUSS, a free digital platform developed by the DILG to support the digital transformation of local government operations through digital and automated systems.

Also discussed was the Barangay Information Management System (BIMS), a subsystem of the LGUSS designed to help barangays streamline day-to-day administrative processes and improve the delivery of public services.

Also in attendance were MLGOO Deomedina Magdato and Chief of Staff Ptr. Charlie Fungan.

Fungan Jr. declares the suspension of classes and work for all teaching and non-teaching personnel in the Municipality of Lake Sebu tomorrow October 5, 2026, in observance of World Teachersโ€™ Day.

The suspension applies to all levels of public and private schools within the municipality.

LAKE SEBU EAST DISTRICT CELEBRATES WORLD TEACHERSโ€™ DAY

The Lake Sebu East District celebrated World Teachersโ€™ Day yesterday, October 2, 2026, at the Lake Sebu Municipal Gymnasium.

The celebration was led by Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Niรฑo Jacobe, with the support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr. Also present was Ms. Maria Gandam, representative of Vice Mayor Hon. Floro Gandam Jr.

The event was participated in by teachers from DepEd and private schools**, coming together to honor and recognize the dedication, passion, and invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of learners.

Also joining the celebration was Ian Mark Kamangkang a.k.a Pitik Queen.
