The 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖) participated in the Committee Hearing conducted by the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, chaired by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼 𝗦. 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻, on the proposed 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵.

The committee hearing focused on strengthening the proposed policy framework aimed at promoting a 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 for all employees of the Local Government Unit (LGU).

The initiative is anchored on the commitment of the 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗠. 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗝𝗿., to ensure that municipal employees uphold their responsibility to maintain a workplace free from illegal drugs and their adverse effects.

Present during the hearing were 𝗛𝗥𝗠𝗢 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗕. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗼 , 𝗭𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹, 𝗟&𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, and 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗢. 𝗗𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀, who reaffirmed their support and commitment to the institutionalization of a 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 within the Municipality of Surallah.

The activity marks another significant step in the Municipality of Surallah’s continuing efforts to strengthen its anti-drug initiatives and institutionalize policies that promote a 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲.

MADAC BRINGS “BOLA KONTRA DROGA” TO BARANGAY VETERANS

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) of Surallah continues to strengthen its campaign for a healthy and drug-free community as it brought another “BOLA KONTRA DROGA” activity to Barangay Veterans in line with the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan.

The activity brought together members of the youth through sports, particularly volleyball, promoting not only physical fitness but also the values of teamwork, discipline, camaraderie, and responsible decision-making.

More than just a game, the activity also served as an opportunity to strengthen awareness on the dangers and harmful effects of illegal drugs.

MADAC conducted a short lecture and discussion with the participants, emphasizing the importance of making informed and positive choices and encouraging the youth to stay away from illegal drugs.

Informational flyers and brochures containing drug awareness and prevention information were likewise distributed to the participants, further reinforcing the Council's advocacy of educating and empowering the youth.

MADAC extends its appreciation to SK Chairman Stephen Jade Laurel and the entire Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Veterans for their active participation, support, and commitment in making the activity meaningful and successful.

Through initiatives such as “BOLA KONTRA DROGA,”MADAC continues to utilize sports and information dissemination as platforms to engage the younger generation, promote healthy lifestyles, and strengthen the collective call for a safer and drug-free community.

Because every game played with purpose, every lesson shared, and every informed choice made brings us one step closer to a brighter and healthier future.

𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 "𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗔 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗔" 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) successfully launched its first-ever "BOLA KONTRA DROGA" on July 11, 2026, at Barangay Lambontong, Surallah, South Cotabato. The activity aimed to promote sports as a positive avenue for youth development and strengthen community involvement in the fight against illegal drugs.

The initiative highlighted the importance of engaging the youth in meaningful and healthy activities that encourage teamwork, discipline, camaraderie, and responsible decision-making—values that help steer them away from the dangers of illegal drug use.

The launching was also graced by the presence of the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), represented by Ms. Princess Izra Griño on behalf of the PADAC Secretariat Head, Ms. Sonia L. Bautista, RSW, MPA, MTRM. Her participation underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting sports and community engagement as effective approaches in preventing drug abuse among the youth.

The activity served as a platform to reinforce the municipality's commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment by empowering young people to become active advocates of positive change within their communities.

Through sports and community participation, the event emphasized that preventing drug abuse is a shared responsibility and that the youth play a vital role in building peaceful and resilient communities.

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), Barangay Lambontong officials, participating teams, youth leaders, and all partners who contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative. Special thanks are also extended to Administrator Benjamin S. Datinguinoo and EnP. Andrew Ian Dormitorio, JD, MAURP for their generous support and sponsorship, which greatly contributed to the success of the activity.

Together, let us continue to promote healthy lifestyles and inspire our youth to choose sports, leadership, and positive living over illegal drugs.

𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗞𝗔𝗣 (𝗞𝘂𝘆𝗮/𝗔𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗶𝘀: 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹)

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), in partnership with the Municipal Police Station (MPS), conducted a Drug Awareness Symposium on July 10, 2026, at Laureano Escovida Integrated School. The activity aimed to educate the youth on the dangers of illegal drugs and the importance of making responsible life choices.

The symposium served as an avenue to strengthen the municipality's campaign against illegal drugs by providing participants with valuable information on drug prevention, the harmful effects of substance abuse, and the vital role of young people in promoting a safe and drug-free community.

Mr. Romar O. De Jesus, MADAC Focal Person, encouraged the participants to become active partners in the government's anti-drug advocacy by staying informed, making healthy decisions, and actively participating in community initiatives that foster peace and development.

The activity also featured an interactive discussion where participants were given the opportunity to raise questions and share their insights on drug-related issues affecting today's generation.

In addition, MADAC distributed informational flyers to the parents present during the symposium to further strengthen awareness and encourage family involvement in drug prevention efforts. The distribution of advocacy materials highlighted the important role of parents in guiding and protecting their children from the dangers of illegal drugs.

Through continuous collaboration with barangays, schools, and youth organizations, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council remains steadfast in implementing programs that promote awareness, prevention, and community involvement in the fight against illegal drugs—reinforcing the shared commitment to building a healthier, safer, and drug-free municipality.
