The real question is not whether an ordinance should be passed—it is whether it is 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧, 𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, and 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.

That was the focus of today's 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 on 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐬, 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 - where local measures concerning 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗳é𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮, and 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗽𝗮 were carefully reviewed, with the latter rescheduled for further discussion this coming Thursday.

Every ordinance deserves thorough legal scrutiny because good laws help create orderly communities, strengthen local governance, and protect the welfare of our people. Abante 💙
