The PCGA 1503rd Squadron, in partnership with Faith Island Mission Inc., spearheaded a relief-giving activity on 11 August 2026 for 42 fire-affected households in Brgy. Nabago, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.

The initiative was led by AUX LT CLARK D FEROL PCGA, Squadron Director, together with Auxiliary members, and was joined and supported by the Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte, under the leadership of LTJG ROY CHRISTOPHER R ORILLANEDA PCG, Station Commander.

The activity was further supported by the Barangay Council of Brgy. Sampaguita, represented by Hon. Josephine Ferol, members of the Pentecostal Full Gospel Church, the Barangay Council of Brgy. Nabago, and Coast Guard personnel from Tagana-an.

The relief assistance was made possible through the generous support of Painite Builders and Supply Inc., Pinong’s Restaurant, and friends and relatives, whose contributions helped provide much-needed assistance to the affected families.

Through this collective effort, the PCGA 1503rd Squadron continues to uphold its commitment to humanitarian service and community assistance, working hand in hand with the Philippine Coast Guard, faith-based organizations, local communities, and generous partners in extending support to those in need.

The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 1503rd Squadron participated in the Ceremonial Blessing and Ribbon Cutting of the newly established Coast Guard Sub-Station San Francisco held on 04 August 2026 at Brgy. Poblacion, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.

The significant occasion was graced by COMMO JAYBOM J CALICA PCG, District Commander, Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao, and LTJG ROY CHRISTOPHER R ORILLANEDA PCG, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte, together with the Sub-Station Commander and personnel of the Coast Guard Sub-Station San Francisco. The activity was also attended by members of the PCGA 1503rd Squadron, led by AUX LTJG CLARK D FEROL PCGA, Squadron Director.

The establishment of the new Sub-Station marks a significant milestone in strengthening the Coast Guard’s presence and operational capability in the area, providing a more responsive presence for maritime safety and security, emergency assistance, and essential services to the coastal community. The undertaking was made possible through the support and cooperation of the Local Government Unit of San Francisco.

The PCGA 1503rd Squadron joins the Philippine Coast Guard and its partners in marking this important milestone, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to supporting maritime safety, security, environmental protection, and public service in the community.

Reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and volunteer service, the 1503rd Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadron actively participated in the Coastal (Seawall) and Waterways Clean Up Drive conducted by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) on 30 July 2026 in the coastal areas of Barangays 11, 12, and 13, Municipality of Dapa, Siargao Island.

The clean-up initiative gathered various government agencies and community partners, with the PCGA 1503rd Squadron joining personnel of the Coast Guard Sub-Station Dapa under Coast Guard Station Siargao, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Local Government Unit of Dapa through its Municipal Culture, Arts and Tourism Office, Local Youth Development Office, and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office in a unified effort to restore and preserve the municipality's coastal and waterway environment.

Through its active participation, the 1503rd PCGA Squadron reaffirmed its dedication to environmental protection and collaborative public service. The activity underscored the importance of collective action in promoting cleaner waterways, healthier coastal communities, and a shared responsibility in safeguarding the marine environment for future generations.

In observance of the 48th National Disability Rights Week, the 1503rd Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadron, led by Acting Squadron Director AUX LT CLARK D FEROL PCGA, joined forces with the Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte, under the leadership of Station Commander LTJG ROY CHRISTOPHER R ORILLANEDA PCG, in conducting an Outreach Program for children with disabilities of Mariano Espina Memorial Central Elementary School (MEMCES) in Barangay Taft, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on 30 July 2026.

The outreach program was made possible through the collective efforts of the PCGA 1503rd Squadron and Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte, with the valuable support of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Barangay Taft. The initiative reflected the strong partnership between the two organizations and their shared commitment to extending meaningful public service beyond maritime safety and security.

Through the activity, the partnership brought joy, encouragement, and hope to the beneficiaries while promoting inclusivity, equal opportunities, and respect for the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities. 1503RD COAST GUARD AUXILIARY SQUADRON CONDUCTS QUARTERLY MEETING AND ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATES

The 1503rd Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron successfully conducted its Quarterly Meeting on July 17, 2026, at Art's Cafe Restaurant, Surigao City. The meeting was attended by auxiliary officers and members led by the Acting Squadron Director AUX LT CLARK D FEROL PCGA, with the presence of personnel from Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte headed by Station Commander LTJG ROY CHRISTOPHER R ORILLANEDA PCG.

Discussions centered on organizational matters, upcoming community outreach initiatives, support activities in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, membership concerns, and plans for future squadron programs and fellowship activities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to strengthen camaraderie, exchange ideas, and reaffirm their commitment to volunteer service and community engagement.

The officers of the PCGA 1503rd Squadron led by AUX LT CLARK FEROL PCGA under Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte headed by Station Commander LTJG ROY CHRISTOPHER R ORILLANEDA PCG, together with fellow squadrons under the Coast Guard Auxiliary District Northeastern Mindanao (CGADNEM), officially attended the Change of Command Ceremony of the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao today, May 20, 2026, held at the LMX Convention Center, Butuan City.

The momentous occasion marked the formal transfer of leadership from outgoing Acting Commander, COMMO DENNIS REM C LABAY PCG, to the incoming Commander, COMMO JAYBOM J CALICA PCG. The Deputy Commandant for Administration of the Philippine Coast Guard presided over the traditional military transition rites.

The 1503rd Squadron extends its highest compliments and heartfelt congratulations to the incoming Commander on assuming his new post. The squadron also expresses its deepest gratitude to the outgoing Acting Commander for his outstanding service, dedication, and guidance to the district.
