MARCH 10, 2026 — The Philippine Coconut Authority and Allied Care Expert (ACE) Medical Center Bohol Inc officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide Hospitalization and Medical Care Assistance for registered coconut farmers under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS).

The initiative is implemented under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), which aims to strengthen programs and services that support the welfare and well-being of coconut farmers.

Through this partnership, qualified registered coconut farmers may avail of medical and hospitalization assistance from Allied Care Expert (ACE) Medical Center Bohol Inc, further expanding access to healthcare services for the coconut farming community.

Farmers who are not yet registered under the NCFRS are encouraged to register and take part in this program to ensure they can benefit from these vital medical services.

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗔 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗩𝗜𝗜 𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗜, 𝗕𝗢𝗛𝗢𝗟

𝑴𝑨𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑰, 𝑩𝑶𝑯𝑶𝑳- February 25,2026 marked a historic milestone for coconut farmers in Barangay Aguipo with the inauguration and official turnover of the first White Copra Processing Facility in Region VII (Central Visayas) to the Aguipo Coconut Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative.

The facility stands as the first White Copra Processing Facility to be officially turned over in REGION VII (Central Visayas), signaling a major step forward in the modernization and value-adding efforts of the coconut industry in the region.

Funded under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), the project is valued at more than ₱36 million and has the capacity to process up to 5,000 nuts per day. The facility aims to enhance post-harvest processing, improve the quality of white copra production, and increase the income potential of coconut farmers in the municipality.

The turnover ceremony was graced by national and local leaders, including Bohol Governor, Hon. Erico Aristotle Aumentado; Third District Congresswoman, Hon. Kristine Alexie Tocmo Besas-Tutor represented by Mr. Bayani Tutor; Board Member of the First District, Hon. Lucille Lagunay; Municipal Mayor of Mabini, Hon. Ongie Grace Lim, together with the Sangguniang Bayan Members ; Municipal Agriculturist Dr. Domino Bayron, and Barangay Captain of Aguipo, Hon. Federico Ibañez.

From the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), the event was attended by Dr. Aldrin Darilag, Department Manager of the Project Management Office; Mr. Lester Tombado of the Project Management Office; Acting Regional Manager III Aurora L. Paquibot; and Mr. Jovencio Felisilda, PCA Bohol Provincial Manager, alongside PCA Central Office, regional, and provincial staff.

The ceremony also highlighted the strong support of CFIDP implementing agencies, with representatives from the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office VII; Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech); Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH); Agricultural Training Institute (ATI); Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC); Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP); Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK); and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Their presence underscored the multi-agency collaboration driving the successful implementation of CFIDP projects.

The facility was formally received by the Aguipo Coconut Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative, led by its chairperson Mrs. Corazon J. Ayag, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen the cooperative’s role in value-adding activities and market expansion.

This pioneering project represents a concrete step toward building a more competitive, resilient, and sustainable coconut industry in Region VII. More than just infrastructure, it is a testament to PCA’s enduring commitment to empower coconut farmers’ organizations and sustain the growth of the coconut industry through the CFIDP Fund.

𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗔, 𝗕𝗢𝗛𝗢𝗟 — 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 —Malampusong gipahigayon sa Philippine Coconut Authority - Bohol Province ang pag-apod-apod sa cheque incentives ubos sa Massive Coconut Planting Program (MCPP) Phase 1 ngadto sa mga kwalipikadong mag-uuma sa lungsod sa Sikatuna.

Ang maong kalihokan gibuligan ni Dr. Aldrin Darilag, Department Manager sa CFIDP Project Management Office, uban sa ubang personnel gikan sa Central Office, ingon man ni Aurora Paquibot, Acting Regional Manager sa Region VII, ug mga personnel gikan sa Bohol Provincial Office. Ang ilang presensya nagpakita sa lig-on nga commitment sa ahensya sa pagpalambo sa sektor sa lubi.

Ang Massive Coconut Planting Program usa ka incentivized coconut planting initiative nga nagtinguha sa pagpahiuli sa kanhiayng kahimtang sa industrya sa lubi sa probinsya samtang naghatag og direkta nga pinansyal nga insentibo sa mga mag-uuma matag yugto sa pagpananom. Ubos sa programa, ang mga kwalipikadong mag-uuma makadawat og 𝙩𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙜𝙖 ₱𝟗𝟓 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 nga natanom sa iyang umahan ,sumala sa mga criteria sa programa.

Pinaagi niini nga programa, ginapalig-on sa Philippine Coconut Authority ang replanting ug expansion sa coconut areas aron masiguro ang dugang produksyon ug mas lig-on nga panginabuhian sa mga mag-uuma.

Giawhag ang tanang kwalipikadong coconut farmers nga interesado moapil sa Massive Coconut Planting Program nga makigkontak ug moduol sa mga personnel sa Philippine Coconut Authority sa ilang lungsod o sa Bohol Provincial Office alang sa dugang impormasyon ug giya sa proseso sa pag-apil sa programa.

Hosted by Bohol Island State University (BISU) – Bilar Campus, the BAYANiyugan activity brought together coconut farmers with the Philippine Coconut Authority, BISU faculty and students, Local government Unit, Municipal Agriculture Office and other various partner government agencies.

We extend our gratitude to all who participated in this meaningful endeavor, showing once again that bayanihan is the heart of a thriving coconut industry.

September 13,2025- As part of the celebration of the 39th National Coconut Week, the Philippine Coconut Authority, together with coconut farmers, local government units, academic institutions, and partner government agencies, successfully conducted BAYANiyugan ng Rehiyon Siete activity in various municipalities of Bohol.

From north to south of the province, BAYANiyugan lives on as communities united in planting coconuts. The activity highlighted the spirit of bayanihan in strengthening the coconut industry through massive planting and active participation of farmers, cooperatives, academe, LGUs, and national agencies.

The PCA extends its gratitude to all farmers, LGUs, academic institutions, and partner agencies who took part in making BAYANiyugan ng Rehiyon Siete in Bohol a success. Truly, every coconut planted today is a gift to the future.
